Where have I been?

Wow, Christmas and New Year went by and I haven’t blogged. That one is for the books. Real life has been busy so online life had to take a back seat. And now, as I post my first entry for the year, it falls on a February! Really? Where did my January go?! Let me just post a collage of pics to share with you happenings in our lives from December to January. The busiest two months ever. And later, I hope to be able to post another entry about web conferencing from ActConferencing.com.

Elmo Rockstar

Three days before Christmas, I took my 3 year old to the mall for some errands and he finds this Elmo Rockstar on the shelves. And he won’t leave it alone! He said he wants one for Christmas! Uh-oh. And I have 3 gifts for him under the tree already. But how can you say no to a cute 3 year old who asks for a gift he really likes and chose on his own? Oh well, I guess this should be a lesson for me – to not buy gifts I’ve decided on my own for my kids. Instead, to ask them for a gift they’ll really like , right?

Oh how time flies! My little boy is now 3! He had a small party with his classmates in school on the day of his birthday, November 25, friday. Theme was Sesame Street. Ordered the cupcakes at Aggy’s and the stools for giveaways from a multiply seller I stumbled upon online while I was busy looking for house plaques. Party went well and was fun! See photos below.

What gifts for grandma can you suggest? I’ve been trying to think of one but I can’t seem to figure out something. I initially wanted to make a picture book of the kids for them but I am pressed for time so I have to let that idea go. It could have been nice, right? Oh well, maybe I could do that next year even if there is no occasion, I’m sure the grandmas will love that. But for Christmas, what should we give them? Help!

We had so much fun at Universal Studios Singapore during our last trip. I’m very thankful that the weather wasn’t too hot. Well, it was hot (and has taken a toll on my hair but good thing there’s agadir hair products) but not as I was expecting. So, pretty happy on that note. Also, the kids were in good mood Happy kids mean happier parents

We sure are coming back soon.

I woke up today with text messages from PAL regarding our rescheduled flight for Singapore on Tuesday. Hay naku.

Im sad that Mateo will miss the Halloween Party in school because of our trip. Sayang.

Agi Pagkatipunan will finally deliver on the 29th. Salamat.

Im ordering peacock alley bedding online. Ganda!

Bazaar season is here. Weekly bazaars in the nearby park here in the our village. Ang saya!

Loaded the kids’ ipads with their fave movies hoping these would keep them occupied during our 3.5hr flight on Tuesday. Sana naman.

coming holidays

Slowly, we are settling into our new home. We have yet to complete our sets of furniture but nevertheless, we already have what we need. So you see, I can’t ask for anything more right now. I’m happy. Very happy. And with the coming holiday season, I’m bound to be happier since its my favorite season, ever. Right now, I have yet to make my gift list for friends and relatives but I’m almost there. The last few touches on the house are to be over in a weeks time so I can start focusing on the coming holiday season. Topping my gift list though are thule bike racks for Jon’s close friends who are all addicted to biking now. I saw them on sale online so I will grab the oppurtunity to get them on discounted prices. I’m sure they’ll be a hit. Obviously, I can’t wait to start christmas shopping. It’s really my thing and I’m sure yours too :)

I didn’t sleep much last night and to cap it off, I woke up at 5am and never got back to sleep again. So here I am, with the two kids still snoozing, blogging away and facebooking My me time on a very early Wednesday morning. I decided to work a bit and start with my steel buildings article. Great way to start my day, right?
