Travel Update.

To date, no specific plans still. Boo.

Seriously, after much thought and being the scaredy cat that I am, I am putting off travel plans for now. Jon is leaving with his dad though for HK next month to attend to some bank stuff. We’ll be left behind as per my decision. :( My mother in law agreed with me though and said “better be safe than sorry.” Nasa huli nga naman ang pagsisisi diba? There would always be next time.

We do have other definite plans though like HK for December and US trip come March. I just hope the virus clears up by that time! December trip will be with my family and it’ll be our first time to be in HK Christmas time. I am so excited! I would love the cold weather for sure and my kids will love Disneyland in Christmas time too I bet. Oh, I can’t wait.

I am extremely excited about our US trip too, of course! The husband already confirmed that we are finally going to US by the time Sophia’s school is over so I am one happy gal. Two weeks is all the husband can spare away from work though but I am not complaining. That is more than enough for me. We plan to just meet my sister in law in LA anyway and not go all the way to her flat in Virginia to save time. After all, the places we want to go to are all in LA. My father in law suggested that we make the most out of the trip though and go around west coast. We’ll see about that.

With the husband’s confirmation of the US trip, as early as now, I am already looking for hotels or vacation houses where we can stay at when we go to LA. Knowing my husband, he won’t settle for anything less than three stars or should i say four? Nothing like those of Outer Banks rentals I saw online but hopefully close enough. He’s very picky when it comes to places to stay at you see so I need to do my share of research. I have to find a place that meets his standards which also won’t break his pocket or else no shopping moohlah for me and the kids! LOL. We’ll be staying in a hotel for the whole two weeks we’ll be there kasi so I need to look for something affordable. Any suggestions?

So far, these two travel confirmations from the husband are more than enough for me to be excited about right now.  After all, I’m also excited and will be pretty occupied with the preparation for Mateo’s 1st birthday party this November too.

See, I’ve got a lot on my plate now. Puro gastos, haha!!!

travel plans ….

Last night my in laws paid a visit as it was the little girl’s 4th birthday. Over dinner, my father in law offered to take us to Hongkong next month before they leave for US as his gift to Sophia. We are all ecstatic of course so I am now in the process of fixing Mateo’s passport. I told Jon however that maybe we can pay for this trip and have his dad pay for our US trip this coming December instead. LOL! You see, December is a peak month and a round trip ticket to the US would cost around 1,500USD per pax or higher. He liked the idea and told me that he’d tell his dad, haha. I hope our plan works so we can really push through with our much awaited US trip to visit my sister in law who will be residing in Washington DC by that time. We plan to fly to LA and meet her there instead of us flying to DC as its really far and the kids might have a hard time. We are excited! If time will permit, we hope to drop by New York too for a few days since we’re there already so we can make the most out of the trip and the expensive airfare! I would want to try New York Bus Charters while we’re there to save time. I bet it’ll be fun.  Wish us luck!

Dream Vacation.

I was reading up on Caribbean weddings the other day when the husband came home. You see, I’ve always been fascinated with one of a kind weddings as I had a traditional one. If I were bold enough, I would have wanted to try getting married in an unconventional way. But I wasn’t, unfortunately. Anyway, back to what I was saying, the husband came home and we had a very nice talk over dinner. Something we rarely get to do these days as the newborn is usually up and about dinner time. We talked about how good 2008 was for us and we just hope 2009 will be as good, if not better. We also talked of how it’ll be so nice for us to reward ourselves with some romantic vacations as every couple needs time to be alone every once in a while. I just hope we get to manage to leave the kids even if we are not used to it. I told him about the Jamaica all inclusive resort I found over the web and he seems to like it too as the place looks very relaxing. I really hope we find time to make this dream vacation happen. After all, we all need to site back and relax once in a while right? Wish us luck.

Talk about the Big Apple.

My cousin who left for New York last week on a business trip emailed me a while back and she has been raving about how she loves the biggest city in the United States. She is enjoying herself so far even if traveling alone and was in her hotel room arrival at the airport in no time with the help of Newark Airport Shuttle which offers affordable, reliable and safe ground transportation services throughout New York City and the surrounding suburbs. She told me I shouldn’t miss New York City when I visit US hopefully next year. Now this gets me more excited. I can’t wait to finally have the chance to see what she’s talking about and my sister in law! Add my father in law too! They all have been raving about this wonderful city and that it should be included in our itinerary definitely. I really hope plans push through and that Baby Bullet will cooperate, LOL. I really wish he won’t be a cry baby or a fussy baby like her big sister – Sophia. If so, there’s no more stopping us. We’ll definitely invade the “Big Apple” soon!

Travel Plans.

I had extra time last night as soon as the little girl fell asleep so I finally had time to upload some photos at my friendster account. Since I wasn’t at all sleepy yet, I also managed to view some friends’ photos which I haven’t been doing for some time now. Its so nice to see old friends’ faces and the places they have been to. If there’s one negative thing this pregnancy has brought me, its definitely the lost opportunity to travel. Not that I am complaining though, I’m sure once I give birth and the little bullet is a bit older, our family will start traveling again. And I am saying that with conviction. LOL. The husband thinks so too and we actually have plans already this early. Next on our must go to place is definitely US already which is why I will need to apply a visa for the baby boy once he’s out. I hope it’ll be easy for him to get one since we all have our visas anyway. We hope to visit New York where we can easily hop on those NYC Bus Charters in the city, Florida to visit Jon’s sister and have fun at Disney World and Las Vegas just for the heck of it.  Maybe we can make a side trip to San Francisco too.  Oh, plans plans plans, I hope we get to push through with them really soon.  I’m crossing my fingers.

My weekend scare.

The husband is back from Macau. We picked him up from the airport last night. While he was away though, I had the scare of my life.

Read on.

Sophia was feverish when the husband left last Friday. I thought it was nothing serious as she was still active on our way to Pampanga after dropping the husband at the airport. Late afternoon though, the little girl’s temperature was 39.5 and she wasn’t her old self already whose very active and talkative. Although I give her tempra every 4 hours, her fever won’t go down so I called her pedia and told her that I am taking Sophia to the clinic the next day.

By 12 midnight, Sophia woke up and started crying. She was so hot!!! Her temperature was 40! She kept telling me her head is “ouchie” and she can’t breath. We gave her sponge bath and I was already in panic. This is the first time my daughter ever complained of something painful. You see, if you know my daugther, made of steel yun! She hardly complains of getting hurt etc so to hear her say that “ouchie” her head while crying, it is something. Knowing that the husband was not with us made me all the more emotional. I felt so alone even if we were in my mom’s house. I guess I’m really not used to not having Jon around. Its actually the first time he left the country without us with him which I doubt would happen again after this incident. We were ready to take Sophia to the hospital when suddenly her fever went down and she said that she feels a bit fine already and just take her in the hospital when its already morning. Wow, the beauty of a pre-schooler. She can really communicate well na unlike if baby pa, we have to guess what’s painful or not and bear with the non-stop crying without knowing whats wrong.

The next day, she was still not active while in the car and she even vomited as her fever went up to 39 again but I was a bit relaxed already as we were on the way to her pedia. When we arrived at the clinic, the pedia checked her and gave her medicines. She wasn’t advised to have a blood test yet though as it was just the second day of her fever. If her fever continues the next day, she will have to undergo blood test already. I was a bit relived though on the way home as she was suddenly active and was looking for sinigang! Hay, as soon as we got home, there she gobbled up on her pork sinigang and went to sleep. Hay, thank God.

Now, the husband while this was all happening was calling me on the cellphone non-stop. He was in panic like me. He can’t believe that his first ever attempt to have a short vacation with his friends abroad without us will turn to be a not so relaxed one. He wasn’t able to shop according to him and only got to buy an air conditioning compressor for a friend. So I doubt if it will ever happen again.

But guess what he got me. :D

Transformation.

I was in Las Paellas this morning, my usual hang-out, planning on blogging the whole morning while waiting for the mall to open when suddenly, as I tried to open a page, no connection was available. Apparently, down ang GlobeWiz. Darn. I have so many things to do!

Anyway, to kill time, I decided to organize my files and pictures when I saw these photos which I did probably because of boredom haha.

Look at the transformation my dears – hubby’s and Sophia’s. Ako same pa din except for the hair noh? :D Agree?
