Hang lusog ano? :D

Let’s talk about luggage.

Since we are leaving for Hong Kong this Monday, I made the helper clean the two luggages we will be using for the trip the other day so they were out in the hallway. Last night, I had the time of my life laughing as the little girl came rushing to our room with one of our rolling luggage full of her clothes shouting, “Let’s go, let’s go. I’m ready!”. Apparently, she packed all on her own the yaya said. She knew she was trooping to Hong Kong to visit Cinderella so she packed her stuff and even claimed that the red Samsonite Luggage is hers.

Now, it got me thinking, should I get her her own luggage? I have seen really nice kids luggage over the net and I am sure she’ll be delighted to own one of them. I wonder what type of luggage will suit her. Should I get her a something with wheels too? Or a backpack? Or better yet, get her those new luggage they call “spinner”, the newest version of the rolling luggage where one can easily maneuver through narrow aisles and crowded airports. We’ll see. I guess I need to check on a luggage buying guide first before deciding on what to get for Sophia. But I’m pretty sure she’ll love the idea of having her own luggage whenever we travel.

My pic and Antonio’s AGAIN!

Okay, okay, everybody is wondering how I look like now … here I am with my new hairdo. Pic taken this morning at Las Paellas Cafe.

Can you see my husband? I just need to brag that he lost around 18 pounds now all on his own without even having to take the best pill they call Ephedrasil Hardcore.

Antonio’s and Tagaytay Highlands Part 2.

Part one here.

After our sumptuous lunch at Antonio’s, we headed to Tagaytay Highlands to finally get our membership cards. We of course tried them while we were there.

First off, Sophia wanted to go horseback riding and here she is …

Then we went to the animal farm. Here are some pics.

img_4371.JPGimg_4372.JPGimg_4373.JPGimg_4375.JPG

We were hungry by the time we finished going around the zoo so we took the cable car going to the club house to eat. My camera ran out of battery at this time as I forgot to charge it so wasn’t able to take pics anymore. After eating, Sophia wanted to go fishing and ride the funicular going to midlands but it was already 6pm so they were closed already. She instead played on the outdoor playground before we went home with some other kids.

By the time we reached the car, the little girl was so tired and in no time, she dozed off. Jon then dropped by a friend’s car supply store to get the steering rack he ordered and off we went home. It was a fun but tiring day. We promised the little girl to make her swim and go fishing next time we come back. Now, she can’t wait to go back!

Xbox 360.

Is it worth it to get an Xbox 360? I have been asking myself that as no matter how my little girl loves playing her uncle’s Xbox while we are in Pampanga, I can’t help but wonder if it’ll be worth my money to buy her one. More so, with so many video game consoles available in the market now, its very confusing which one is better than the other and why. Good thing, the husband stumbled upon a video game consoles buying guide over the net so now we are getting ourselves familiar and acquainted little by little with what is available out there and which one is best for our little girl. After all, with the hard times we are having right now, every centavo must be well spent. Money don’t grow on trees you know.

But knowing this, Jon and I also know that we should learn how to enjoy our hard earned money so little splurges here and there are fine. So after reading more about Xbox 360, we found more reasons to snag an Xbox 360 now than to let it pass even if its quite expensive. The features and specs has got the husband excited too. We have never been as convinced to get one than now.

Sweet.

Antonio’s and Tagaytay Highlands Part 1

We had a sumptuous lunch at Antonio’s in Tagaytay last Sunday.  We were once again yayaless as Sophia’s yaya was on a day-off so it was just the three of us - Jon, Sophia and I which made our lunch date extra sweet.

The little girl was very relaxed so we were not in a hurry to eat at all as she was having fun looking at the coy pond.  We sat right beside the pond thats why. :)

Here are some photos.

Here’s what we ate, Jon and I had one serving of each plus bread and soup.

For dessert, here’s what we had.

Food was yummy but a bit expensive. We are coming back though to try their other specialty - lechon de leche which needs to be called in first a day before.

Next, our Tagaytay Highlands Kwento.

Lesson learned?

I hope so!

Can you see the black and blue spot on her upper right cheek?

booboo.jpg

The little girl came home yesterday with a surprise for me. May black eye siya!  Apparently, she was running to her line when she hit/collided with her other classmate. Hence, the booboo.  Its not obvious in the picture but when you see it for real, its huge! I actually got a call from her teacher right after class so even before she came home I knew about the accident already.

This is actually the third time she went home with an incident report - my second time to get a call from her teacher and the third time for the little girl to come home with a booboo.  This last one is the major one though but remember, she has only been to school for a month!  Obviously, malikot ang anak ko as in!

First incident, she fell off the swing.  She vowed though not to go on the swing anymore - ever, which is good!

Second incident, she hit her face on the door. She vowed to be careful next time. Great.

And now, the accident I wrote above.  She promised to not run while in the classroom and in school.  I hope so!

Hay, sana nga she learned her lesson na!!!

Luggage for the little girl.

I took out our Delsey luggage set from the cabinet the other day and asked the helper to clean them in preparation for our upcoming trip two weeks from now. You see, we’ve had the same luggage for close to five years now and yet every piece is in tip top shape. That is what you get for investing in a good luggage. Money will never be put to waste.

Right now, since my little girl is big enough to have her own luggage, as she would insist, I am looking for a durable kids luggage suitable for her. Since we travel a lot, heavy duty luggage is a must so she can keep it for years. Never mind the extra dollars to spend as long as I am paying for the quality.

As I tried to surf the web for something to get her in time for our trip, I came across what she might like to have, very appropriate for her age - Disney Luggage. What do you think? I find them really cute and I am hoping to be durable too. You know how kids can be while on a trip, right? I guess I should give them a try. After all, the website where I saw them is known to be Northeast’s premier luggage and travel ware specialty retailer which of course sells only high quality luggage.
