It was both our first time so I share the same excitement as the little girl. I guess being a mom is like that, you get excited over little things your kid is excited about. Are you like that? Or is it just me?

On to the field trip. Here’s our photo as soon as we arrived.

Touching the starfish. I remember when we were in Sydney and Singapore, she refused to touch a starfish even if we bribe her. Now she’s really all grown up. I won’t start on the time flies really fast line again, haha! But seriously, it does! Grabe.

Going around the park was fast so we were done by lunch time. We headed straight to the mall after for some last minute party shopping for Mateo’s birthday.  Will blog about the party next. Watch out.

For their literary program in school this year, Sophia is to recite and sing “The Nightingale” with her friend Eliza. Of course I was one excited mommy and made sure she memorized her lines weeks before the program. She was very cooperative and would even be the one to remind me to go through her lines all the time. She knew her lines by heart so I wasn’t bothered a bit when she walked up on stage. Really. And knowing my daughter, stage fright doesn’t actually exist.

They were asked to bring a DIY lantern with a small flashlight inside to school by the way and here’s what we came up with. (the daddy made this the night before, talk about cramming!)

As another treat to the kids, aside from the usual trick or treating around the school premises, last stop was at this dark room to look for goodies hidden under the newspapers. They did this per section and it was a lot of fun!

The daddy didn’t make it with us as he was meeting a cousin of his who is a San Jose motorcycle accident attorney. He recently came home for a short visit. I heard he hasn’t been in the Philippines since he was 15! Wow. I bet he missed Filipino food so much which is why Jon took him to Dampa! I’m sure he’ll enjoy it there. I would! LOL.

There you go, finally blogged about the school party. Next on my list is the supplier ratings for the party last March 1.  This will be after I research about Mesothelioma.

First off, let me ask you to say a little prayer for my little boy Mateo who will be circumcised this coming Tuesday.  I know its supposed to be a simple procedure but still, I can’t help but worry especially after a very simple blood extraction which he needed as clearance lasted for an hour and a half last Saturday. Three doctors tried to extract his blood including the ICU head pediatrician but they all failed. A medical technologist who was very confident and volunteered himself to give it a try finally succeeded and I will forever be grateful to him.  Hay, I swear I was this.close to breaking down.  I never heard my little boy cry that loud, that hard.  It really broke my heart.

On to my little girl – Sophia.  We watched Rapunzel at the Theater Down South with her fellow Rosemont kids last Thursday. The next day, Friday, she had her filed trip at Avilon Zoo. I was with her on both occasions of course and we had so much fun. A much needed bonding for both of us.  At Avilon Zoo, btw, was able to meet a fellow n@wie and blogger – Jade and her little girl Summer who were on a field trip too.  It was nice to see and meet you, Jade!  Let me share with you some of our Avilon Zoo pics.

We didn’t join the bus on the way back to school after touring the zoo.  Instead, we trooped to Shangrila for some shopping. Was able to shop for the kids’ outfit already so I’m relieved.  We were also able to check some cat supplies in one of the pet store we saw as a niece of mine who is so much into cats is celebrating her birthday next month so was thinking of getting her any cutie cat stuff.

We got home a bit late so we were so tired.  The little girl was sleeping in no time.  Nevertheless, it was a day well spent.

No, I still haven’t given birth yet. The lack of updates is just a result of my laziness, as usual. I’d rather stay in bed and do nothing lately, just stare at the ceiling and try to picture how my labor will go, haha. Crazy and pathetic I know.

Although I have been doing some walking in the mornings while waiting for the little girl from school, no major contractions yet as of this day. I’m getting impatient and so does the husband. In fact, the husband can’t actually take the waiting game any longer that he will have me induced already on Monday or Tuesday – by hook or by crook. We already had it scheduled with my OB. Actually, if only my mom is here, I would have been scheduled for induction tomorrow. But you see, she’s in Iloilo to attend to my brothers’ basketball event so we have no choice but to wait for her before I go to the hospital and have forced labor. She’s arriving on Monday, hence we have to prolong the husband’s (sige na nga mine na rin ) anticipation until then. I just hope I won’t naturally go into labor this weekend. *crossfingers*

Or, if nature would really take its course and will have it the other way, I just hope not until tomorrow afternoon as I badly need to attend this.

My little girl will recite a poem (with actions and all) entitled PIGGIES all on her own on stage. And I just CAN’T miss it. If I do, I’d probably be hysterical and regret it for the rest of my life, seriously. She has been practicing for days now and I am one pressured mommy. I hope she does well. Modesty aside though, I know she will. LOL. By the way, we just came from a Tutorial Chat with our daughter’s School Director and she has nothing but nice words to say about our little princess. She also had perfect scores again on both her exams – Math and Reading. Proud proud mommy here.

Before I forget, I need to send a shout out to Jody for lending me the piggy head-dress her daughter Margaux wore for Halloween. I actually called Bumblebee for the exact same costume but they said its out of stock already and if I will have one custom made, it won’t be done before Friday so I really had no choice. Thats why Jody is my savior, thanks girl!!!

She’ll be Little Miss Korea after so much thought and consideration.

First, I wanted a costume that is easy to figure out, haha. I was thinking if I made her wear those from Holland, Switzerland, Italy and the like (which actually all look the same to me), even if really nice, its quite hard to know just by looking at it what country the costume really is from without having to wear a sash.

Second, I needed a costume that is easy to make as we only have less than a week to prepare.

Lastly, the daddy wanted Korea so no questions asked. LOL!

Now, for the Children’s Day Program next week, I have yet to decide what country the little girl will represent. Since they gave us free hand to choose, its more confusing and the indecisive me can’t seem to make up my mind between the national costume of Korea, Spain, Italy, Holland or Sweden. Ayayay! What do you think?

I’m so excited that as early as now I took out the camcorder already, LOL!

Well, I guess not! I saw this on the web – head-to-toe doctor’s set includes scrubs, lab coat, cap, mask, and I am having one made for the little girl! Won’t she look so cute?! I bet she would!

Now, does she look like she’s working for a high profile company like cpm or what?
