Can you see my husband? I just need to brag that he lost around 18 pounds now all on his own without even having to take the best pill they call Ephedrasil Hardcore.

Prenatal Yoga.

On to my 5th month of pregnancy, my OB is encouraging me to get myself enrolled with prenatal yoga classes, something that is quite popular now with pregnant women like me. According to her, three of her patients are currently into it and they have got nothing but good words to say about it. My OB specifically told me too that aside from the many physical benefits prenatal yoga brings, it also helps women through the evolutionary process of pregnancy by connecting with other pregnant women, allowing the opportunity for inward reflection, providing a healthy physical and emotional outlet for one’s experiences, and ultimately preparing one for birth on a holistic level.

Now, wouldn’t you get convinced?

I am sold on the idea so I am now looking for a yoga mat online. There are a lot of different yoga mats available but since I am pregnant, I might settle with Fitness & Yoga Mats Ribbed Comfort Mat for comfort. I also need to get a yoga mat bag of course. I was surprised that they come in plenty of colors and different styles. Love it! I am so excited. I sure hope to see the benefits everybody is talking about myself. If you know me, I am not really into exercising but I am willing to give prenatal yoga a try. We’ll see and I’ll let you know.

Baby stuff shopping, again!

I can’t get enough of shopping for our coming baby. You see, since I am having a boy, I am inclined to buy new baby products again even if this is my second pregnancy already as most of Sophia’s stuff are colored pink or has girly themes.

Right now, I am looking at crib linens. Good thing Sophia’s wooden crib is white so I don’t need to get a new one, just a couple of crib fitted sheets and crib bumpers for protection.

I am also thinking of getting a new stroller, a travel system specifically. I hope I can make the husband agree on which one I like even if the price is quite steep. After all, a good stroller and a carseat is a necessity nowadays. What do you think?

Lastly, I am searching for the perfect baby bag to lug around with our baby boy’s stuff. The bag must be roomy and very functional and can be lugged around by either me or hubby.  I noticed that diaper bags have evolved (style-wise) tremendously these days compared to some three years ago when I had my eldest.

There you go, my online shopping list for the moment.  My day will be pretty occupied surfing I’m sure.

Thank you.

Thank you friends for the comments on my jackpot post.  We really are in cloud nine. :) Jon is probably the happiest dad on earth right now, HAHA.  You all know how we wanted to have a boy, right?  And thank you to the Big Man up there who heard our fervent wish.  We really can’t ask for anything more.  To say that we are so blessed is an undertatement.  So, all I can say now really is just THANK YOU.

As all of you have said, quota na kami. Yes, I believe so.  Well, atleast that’s what we think right now.  I wonder if it’ll change in a few years or so but so far, having two - a girl and a boy, is already enough for us.  We have big plans you see so Jon believes we can only sustain two (or three the most) with the lifestyle and plans we have for our kids.

During my ultrasound, funny how my OB Sonologist commented that all the while she thought I was so prim and proper but when she finally wrote the word BOY on the screen, I screamed like a little girl.  I just couldn’t help it as I was preparing myself for another baby girl because most people I know commented that I looked like I was having another Sophia.  But were they so wrong! LOL. Jen are you hearing me?!?! LOL!

Jon had the biggest smile too, I swear. He kept calling everybody after. He even is treating friends to a buffet dinner at Circles in Makati Shang and his farm employees had the whole night drinking, partying and merrying, LOL! Super happy obviously. As for me, I think I still am in denial. I still can’t believe it. I so wanted to have a boy really para we are done and yun nga ang binigay. Hay, as I said in my other post, happy happy joy joy talaga.

Jackpot.

As of this time…

ang buntis ay nag-iisip what to have for snacks. Let me re-phrase that, what food to order for delivery. Pizza, pasta, dumplings or what?!?!!

Gutom na ang buntis obviously.

Finally, I am getting back to my old self again - matakaw!

3rd pre-natal check-up.

I just came from my 3rd pre-natal check up and what can I say? The baby is in good shape! I had an ultrasound again and ang likot ni baby! Hay, this totally gives me some peace of mind as I have been very sick lately. No drastic change on my weight though, was only able to gain 1 kg. This is understandable as I was sick for almost two weeks. I promise to make bawi this month, we’ll see.

I’m on my 15th week now and I hope I’ll get better and better with the coming days so I can be all set for our HK trip.

Home Sweet Home.

I am back home.

(This post is a little bit of everything.)

Thank you to everyone who sent me their greetings for my birthday. I am feeling better now. In fact, was able to go to the grocery yesterday after almost two weeks of just staying at home. Slowly, I am finally getting my energy back. I hope this continues for the rest of my pregnancy.

~~~
Right now, surprisingly, with my one week of being sick, my tummy is bigger and is becoming more obvious. My pregnancy is really showing now no doubt about that. I wish to get back my lost appetite since I got sick though. Yesterday at the grocery, I bought each and every fruit available. I plan to gulp and gobble up everything to make up for the lost low appetite I have had for almost two weeks. I also plan to get every bit of rest I could. Sleep, eat and sleep to gain back every energy I lost.
~~~

While I was in my mom’s place, I tell you, I was pampered like a princess. I never lifted a finger hahaha. Moms are always like they aren’t they? They make sure their kids are treated the best. My stay there could almost pass up to be one of the available luxury vacations at Sherman’s Travel sans the outstanding sceneries and views of course. Unless you can count in the vast rice field at the back of my mom’s house as a great view.

~~~
This afternoon, Jon and I are attending the Parent’s Orientation at Rosemont. Next week, the little girl will start her days as a Nursery student. I can’t wait. As early as now, I already planning her “baon” schedule. It’s so exciting! You’ll surely get more updates on this matter in this blog so stay tuned.
What’s up?
As I have written here, I have been sick these past few days. I also left the comfort of my home for my mom’s place here in Pampanga as for one, I wanted my OB cousin to attend to me personally the whole time I was really really sick. Taking instructions such as drinking high dosage antibiotics is easier when its coming from someone you personally know and who truly cares about you because she’s family. It somehow gives me more confidence. Secondly, we have some painting jobs being done right now at home and the clutter, dust and the smell of paint is simply not good so I am better off not there until everything is done which will take just a few more days anyway. I can’t wait to get back home and start fixing Sophia’s room. Not that I and my daughter are not enjoying our stay here though, not at all. In fact, my daughter is having a grand time. Who wouldn’t? Someone is spoiling her - rotten. Being here for five days now gives me more than enough reasons to believe that kids who live or grow up with their grandparents end up being spoiled brats in my humble opinion. LOL. My daughter would, definitely, and actually she is, right now. She gets what she wants, anytime, any place and in any way. Case in point, she saw a Mc Do commercial and said she wanted fries and toys (Happy Meal), in no time she was with the lola buying 3 Happy Meals. Last Saturday, they attended a birthday party of my cousin without me, just the yaya and my mom and the little princess came home with LOTS of prices and goodies to which I asked the yaya why and how it happened. She then told me Sophia joined every game and won each time too. Why you ask? The lola told daw the gracious host not to eliminate her apo, waaaah!!!!!! Baliw ang lola! Here are some more, one morning Sophia saw the lola dressed up as she was going to work, the little girl said she wanted to go, ayun, binitbit ang apo sa office. And just yesterday, they went to the grocery with the little girl, I was told the Sophia rode the carousel three times, twice in the Ferris Wheel, rented a car cart while roaming around, bought a whole box of donuts and a bag of Gummy Bears and even came home with a Cinderella doll from Toy Kingdom. So now, the little girl doesn’t want to leave the lola’s side, you know why.
Anyway, as of writing this, I suddenly remembered its my birthday tomorrow! No plans at all as I am not allowed to leave the house yet haha.
Me on my 3rd month.
Here’s my picture taken last Sunday on my 3rd month of pregnancy at my cousin’s 7th birthday party in Makati. I wonder if its just the dress I’m wearing but my pregnancy is starting to be oh so obvious don’t you think? I think so too! I bet in a matter of weeks, I could no longer fit in the lingerie pieces I have to my husband’s dismay. LOL!
