My kids loved it as much as I did of course. Here they are as soon as we arrived at the venue an hour before the party starts. Yes, we were that early. Excited much? Not really. We were anticipating heavy traffic thats why.

I am always particular with the venue decor every time I throw a party for my kids. I don’t know but balloons excite me and the venue decor for me sets up the mood in every party. So simply put, I spend for the decor and I am always happy with the output. Mateo’s party was no exception. Venue decor was fab! It was literally raining balloons and I love it! All the guests loved how colorful it was too making the party mood very festive. See for yourself.

Sans the dad who was watching the much awaited Pacquio-Cotto fight somewhere in The Fort with his friends, me and my little girl still had fun. Games and food, what can go wrong?

We even had our share at the photo booth. Sophia insisted to put on the pink wig, look.

Now is the time I need you to say that the slimming pills are working on me. That dress I’m wearing my sister in law bought last year I never got to wear. It didn’t fit.  Until now!  Spell happy – ME!

I always find myself saying – where did all the years go? She used to be this small little girl who can’t even manage to join party games but look at her now. She’d die for a prize, literally. LOL.

Party was fab and we all enjoyed it. Thanks for inviting us Mommy Peachy!

Since we had nothing to do just yet, we took photos first. Here’s my mom and my little brother. They look alike I think while people say I look like my dad. My mom lost weight haven’t you noticed?

And finally the birthday girl arrived, meet my bestfriend – Marla. Don’t you just love her boots? I do! My mom said she already ordered me two pairs and both arriving real soon. Can’t wait!

Of course I played and joined the games like there was no tomorrow. Can you spot me?

And then party was over. I had a blast! Before heading home, since it was our first time at Trinoma (yes it is!), we went around first because mommy was looking for some outdoor fireplace display. We didn’t find one though. We went home after and traffic was bad.  I was do tired that I fell asleep in the car all the way home.  Tiring but fun day it was!

Venue: C3 Events Place, Greenhills (7262712)

I wanted a venue that’s near Mary the Queen parish since Mateo will baptized there so I settled with C3. Had no problem dealing with them. My contact was Mark and he was very efficient. He scheduled the food tasting and Jon and I liked the food. Not SUPER delicious though but pretty good especially the dessert.

Balloon Decor: Balloon Creations (7229851)

Balloon Creations did a wonderful job.  Everyone commented on how nice the decor was. I must say that I was pleased too but the decor came with a rather hefty price as per a friend who is also in the biz.  I wouldn’t have known that, oh well … But I’m still happy that I got them though. They were very easy to talk to, Michelle was very efficient and the ownder Heidi was nice.  I booked Apollo, The Golden Show, my foodcarts – Starbucks, FIC and NYFD from them.  No problem at all.

Invitation: Balloon Creations too

I’m very happy with the invitations.  Love love them.  Ms Heidi even made them bigger than what we agreed on without extra charge.

Host: Apollo

Almost all the party organizers I’ve talked to have nothing but praises for this guy.  He came very well recommended. During the party though, I was too busy to notice if he was really that good. LOL. But I guess he was.

Entertainment: The Golden Show

This guy was so funny! He was so sulit, I swear. His antics were a hit. He was really good. You should try him for your parties. I’m really glad I did.  Guests had so much fun with his show.

Food Carts: FIC, Starbucks and NYFD

All were a hit especially Starbucks.  Had to order 20 additional fraps pa for the latecomers, HAHA. You girls know who you are. ;D

Giveaways: Sheila Contento (4504122)

I gave out Nemo trolley bags with lunch bags as giveways and EVERYBODY loved them!  Who wouldn’t? They’ll be very useful for school kids, right?  Sophia adores hers and by June, she’ll definitly use it for school. Sheila was very nice.  She accomodated my extra orders last minute but too bad she didn’t finish some.  I wish she told me that the last batch of orders won’t be bale to make it. But overall, I had no problem dealing with her. She was very helpful all througout my party planning even.  We chat almsot everyday and let me repeat, she’s very nice so nevermind thelast minute booboo.

Cakes: Top Cakes (09198525588) and C3

This Nemo cake of Sophia was from Top Cakes.  Everybody raved about how nice it was. It’s huge too! Bigger than Sophia.  I’ve a picture to prove that. You see, we took the whole cake home thats why.  The little girl won’t let us leave it at C3, haha.  Mary Ann was very nice, easy to talk too also and was very open to revisions on the designs etc.  We only met once and I didn’t have any problem with her.  Will definitely get her again.

Mateo’s cake was from C3. It was part of the package I got. I didn’t expect it to be nice since it was just pasrt of the package but lo and behold, it was very cute too, don’t you agree?  I love it!!!

Photo booth: Fabfoto (4122347)

The photo booth as expected was a hit to the guests – adult and kids alike.  I chose fabfoto over other photo booths abounding because I loved their booth! haha. Babaw ba? I liked kasi a booth with cloth cover eh. Wala lang, type ko lang.   I considered baicapture, pose and print and the other one from meme of Konsepto.  I’m happy with my choice.  It was very easy to deal with them. Oh, I almost forgot, Shiela booked them for me. Thanks, Shiela!

Prizes: Toys R Us, Toy Kingdom, Shopwise and 168 Mall

Off to looking for diet supplements online again now. Seeing my photos during the party gives me my much needed motivation to lose weight. I look so big!

It had been a very tiring week. I played host to my highschool friends as I’ve told you, right? Will post our pics soon too.

Tomorrow is the little girl’s culminating activity in school. How time flies! She’ll be in Junior Kinder this June, whew! She’s definitely not a little girl anymore. Buti na lang I’ve another baby to take care of now.

Party’s finally over. After everything – Mateo’s UTI ordeal and being circumcised four days before the party, event went well and preparation was well worthit.  Guests – both adults and kids had fun.  Mommy had aching feet after though. LOL!

In a few months,  I’ll be back to party planning again for Mateo’s 1st birthday. Hay, ang bilis. I bet November na before I even know it which spells expenses again. I hope my financier is up for the challenge.

I missed my online life. Haven’t been online for a looong time and now I’ve got so much to do! First off is to look for discount lighting, ugh!

Just when I thought we’re over with the sickies in the house, now its the little girl’s turn. She has been running a fever since last night and the paranoid mommy that I am can’t stop worrying. Who can blame me? After my five year old cousin’s bout with dengue last December, I now dread even a simple fever. I hope she gets better asap. As of typing this though, her temperature is down to 37.8.

I haven’t blogged about Mateo diagnosed to have UTI some two weeks ago, have I? Well, I was worried stiff I tell you as I have learned that UTI in children is something serious and doesn’t stop at just having urinalysis and urine cultures. Well, we and my pedia wanted to be on the safe side of course so we were referred to a urologist after the little boy was cleared from UTI after taking antibiotics for a week. That’s the time I found out that an ultrasound needs to be done and a procedure called VCUG where there’s a catheter involved and xrays. Thinking about the procedure made me sleepless for days as it sounded so complicated while it was being explained to me but apparently it was fast and simple. I’m just really glad Mateo’s UTI ordeal is now over and his VCUG result was a-okay. He has no reflux. If he happens to have one, he would need to maintain a low dose antibiotics everyday or worst undergo a surgery would you believe? Hay, thank God wala. However, he is advised to undergo circumcision. So by next week, on the 13th maybe, we’ll have our little boy circumcised na which now makes me one busy mommy. I plan to finish all party related stuff before the 13 as I don’t think I can take it to leave Mateo at home with just the yaya to look after him after his circumcision. So far, my things to do are:

~ finalize cake design
~ deposits payments to all my suppliers
~ buy prizes
~ shop for our outfits
~ food tasting at C3 and pay the full amount already
~ finalize table centerpiece designs
~ and something not party related, finish all my online assignments starting with a certain linear motion task

Hope I can do all these in less than a week! Oh, I just remembered, I also need to have my treadmill test completed by Sunday as part of my executive check up. Whew!

By the way, I just need to say that I can’t believe how a fairly nice (read decent) party would cost these days! Grabe!  Sophia’s 1st birthday party sometime in 2006 is panis! Cost wise ha … Susme. Jon is close to having a heart attack with the expenses.  Me too! And to think the money isn’t coming from my own pocket, haha!

Anyway, got loads of update. Finalized na the theme for the party. We are giving in. After all, its our daughter’s party and I can’t take that away from her – choosing the theme that is. You see, when we were at my party organizer’s office, she changed her mind about the ballerina party and wanted Nemo again. So I said, be it. She’ll be happy the most with a Nemo theme party I bet and as a parent, that’s what I want so I am giving it to her.

I’m getting pretty excited with the party. Can’t wait! I hope my new found party organizer will deliver. Based from the lay-out they gave me for the decor, its going to be really nice. *crossfingers*

My little boy is starting to sleep through the night, yahoo!!!! At six weeks, he sleeps at 9:30pm and wakes up to feed at around 2am. Wakes up at 6am then to feed again. Oh, I didn’t expect it to be this easy if you know what I mean. He has grown terribly big too by the way. Will post a pic of him soon. He’s such a cutie (this is my blog so I can say what I want) and so puti!

I am addicted to online shopping and Royce Chocolates lately and I need to stop – pronto! Last Tuesday, went to Powerplant Mall with Sophia (we were on a date, just the two of us) to look for some discount furniture I can score but instead I got 6 boxes of Nama chocolates before leaving. Race kami ni Jon sa pagkain when I got home, bwahaha. I swear, I’m so fat now. Need to lose weight in time for the party!
