Afternoon Well Spent.

Last Saturday, even if I was under a not so good ordeal, I, together with the kids still went ahead and attended the Jollibee Party for Aggie and daughter Marla, by Glo, arranged by the gay and proud, Peachy. Good decision it was. Entertainment was top notch thanks to Kathy, Jacqui and Peachy, LOL.

Seriously, its always fun being with these mommies, riot. An afternoon was well spent that day. Here’s a photo of us. Notice how slim looking I am? Arcona has been my best friend lately.

MBAPs Birthday Celebrants!

Happy Birthday to us – Jane, Jody, Joy and Jacqui. (all J pala tayo, aliw!)

We are the June celebrants and even if it’s the end of July already, we treated the MBAPs with a catered dinner at Jody’s lovely house . Jody even gave all of us an extra treat by ordering an Alex Franco cake. So yummy!

The meet up was as usual so much fun. We all had a great time, right ladies? Grabbed this photo from Kelly’s flickr as I didn’t bring my camera. I knew that most of them would be lugging around their DSLRs anyway so why bother. Besides I need to buy memory first for our desktop where I store photos from my camera.

Back to last Sunday’s event, too bad Abie, Kathy and Apols were not able to join us. It was indeed a riot at Jody’s house. We were like little girls screaming when it was time to pick our colors for our upcoming Christmas party. We’re all excited now for the next party. I hope we all agree on a date where we can all be present though. So Joy, what are you waiting for? Email na! HAHA. Sasakit ulo mo, girl!

My take on the MBAP Party.

To say that I had so much fun during the MBAP Christmas / Shower Party is already an understatement. Just by looking at the pics, specially those at Kelly’s site where she very well narrated what transpired during the White Elephant Game, its so obvious that I really enjoyed the meet up with these fabulous ladies.

It really was a super fun day. The caterer arrived around ten minutes past two and I was still wearing my “daster”. Yes, Aggie, I wear “daster” these days as I am 8 months pregnant and I feel so comfortable in them. Ten minutes after, still in my so unglamorous outfit, my helper told me there was already somebody downstairs! What? Excited! Ang aga! Haha. Party doesn’t start until 3:30 pm. Peace, Mich. Apparently, Mich (and her family) thought it was traffic so they left home early. So there, I was in a hurry to dress up and I woke Sophia up from her nap too. After a while, the ladies with their respective entourage (naks!) started arriving – Jody, Thea, Peachy, Apple, Jacqui and Kelly. Abie and Joy came a little late though. I think we started eating before they came. The food from CCME was good for the price we paid. And as Joy said in her other post, she immediately grabbed a plate when they arrived as I am known to have a big appetite. Baka maubusan sila, haha. Jon arrived a few minutes later and finally the MBAPs got to meet my dear husband. And as Jacqui and Joy said, hindi pala siya figure ng aking imagination, LOL. If you know my husband, he really is a very shy person which is why meet ups like these are a big deal to him. Good thing I was able to convince him to join us but looking back now, may bago sana akong LV if I made him not come, bwahahahaha. But guess what, he ended up having fun too that he even asked the boys to have one beer for the road. O diba? Buti na lang tinabihan ni Gelo at dinaldalan so he started warming up.

The games followed and I must say, I want another White Elephant Game!!! No need to write about what transpired during this game as Kelly wrote it in details. Love love your post, girl! Diba, ang saya? Here are some pics I grabbed.

There was also a game for mommies and daddies prepared by Jody. The daddies were so game to play just look at all of them here in this pic.

The MBAPs also gave the preggy moms (peachy, mich and me) nursing bibs which I hope I’ll be able to put to use. Look at me in the pic, parang mas type ko yung napunta kay Peachy, bwahahahahahaha. Joke!

We ended the night with chikahan – daddies and mommies alike. The mommies were inside the house while the daddies were outside enjoying their one bottle of beer. It was really such a fun event and hopefully we can do it again soon.

The kids if you are wondering by the way were all over the place – garden I mean. Running around, playing and having the time of their life. Just look at their pics…

Okay, this post has been long. Now I need to look for bar stools online.

Thanks to Jacqui for organizing the meet up. I had fun and I went home so full! It was nice to see the MBAPs again and I am looking forward to our next meet up.

Mich, Abie, Joy and whoever pa na may picture, please post na bilis! Demanding ano? haha

Thank you friends for the comments on my jackpot post. We really are in cloud nine. Jon is probably the happiest dad on earth right now, HAHA. You all know how we wanted to have a boy, right? And thank you to the Big Man up there who heard our fervent wish. We really can’t ask for anything more. To say that we are so blessed is an undertatement. So, all I can say now really is just THANK YOU.

As all of you have said, quota na kami. Yes, I believe so. Well, atleast that’s what we think right now. I wonder if it’ll change in a few years or so but so far, having two – a girl and a boy, is already enough for us. We have big plans you see so Jon believes we can only sustain two (or three the most) with the lifestyle and plans we have for our kids.

During my ultrasound, funny how my OB Sonologist commented that all the while she thought I was so prim and proper but when she finally wrote the word BOY on the screen, I screamed like a little girl. I just couldn’t help it as I was preparing myself for another baby girl because most people I know commented that I looked like I was having another Sophia. But were they so wrong! LOL. Jen are you hearing me?!?! LOL!

Jon had the biggest smile too, I swear. He kept calling everybody after. He even is treating friends to a buffet dinner at Circles in Makati Shang and his farm employees had the whole night drinking, partying and merrying, LOL! Super happy obviously. As for me, I think I still am in denial. I still can’t believe it. I so wanted to have a boy really para we are done and yun nga ang binigay. Hay, as I said in my other post, happy happy joy joy talaga.

missed coffee date

I missed the mommy bloggers’ coffee date yesterday Instead of trooping to Serendra, Jon, Sophia and I trooped to the pedia. Hay. Sophia’s cold and cough was getting worst that’s why. And after her hospital stint last October because of mild pneumonia, I am now very paranoid when the little girl develops some cough. I don’t take chances anymore. Doctor agad. Too bad it fell on the coffee day of my beloved mommy bloggers. Naku, I bet I missed a lot! Tsismisan niyo naman ako!!!! How was it? How were the kids?

… and impressions rolled into one

I got so inggit with all the kwentos of the blogging mommies so here, I’m doing mine on top of my assignments expiring today ;p

Contrary to Mich, who was hesitant to go to the party at first, I was raving to go. When Apols presented the idea of a Christmas Party, I said yes instantly. For some reason I never felt hesitant or I never thought I’d feel awkward partying with people I never met yet. I felt kase I know all of them through their blogs. Feeling close ako with them coz I read their blogs all the time and I know almost every little detail about them already.

On to the party kwento.

Would you believe I still have no gifts to give our “babies” yet on the party day itself? On our way to Greenbelt, I just dropped by at Glorietta to get the gifts! At 5pm, there I was in Rustans getting Margaux’s Dora Towel Set and then roamed around Glorietta looking for the TOMATO store for Peachy. Grabe, stressing. Time was running out, ayoko ma-late, lol.

Surprisingly, I finished agad and was at Mc Do Greenbelt five minutes before 6. The first mommy I saw was Aggie, a very familiar face as she’s my cousin’s bestfriend. I knew her from college days pa (she and my cousin were classmates), she was still oh so slim and sexy (like me? kapal!) then. She added a few pounds now though but pretty and flawless face pa din. I’ve always had this impression na Aggie is very intellectual. My cousin would always tell me how Aggie is so good that she doesn’t really even study for exams etc. Di na nawala sa isip ko yun and until now, whenever I visit her blog, I feel that I always learn a thing or two from her about anything. She’s also very warm. Her kids, Matthew is so gwapo and Martha is maldita, haha.

The next one I approached or who approched me (I’m not sure) was Jacqui. Naku, parang ako yata ito. Very makwento. She was slimmer in person, I agree. And we could probably talk for hours about anything and everything. Her Sam was a cutie pie.

While I was talking to Jacqui, a girl approached me and said hi with the warmest smile. To my surprise the feisty Apols was warmer and gentler in person. I was expecting to see a bitchy woman with an attitude (but nice still) in her. She’s very petite and gosh, doesn’t even look like a mommy in any way. With how she handled the party, she’s one organized woman I can say. Her kids were Junn’s replica and they were behaved during the party. She was all over the place making sure everything is all right. We owe you so much girl!

What happened next was a blur, haha. Everybody kept coming inside the play area already. Joy approached me and said, “Ang tangkad mo pala”. I asked, “Do I look small in the pictures?” haha. Apparently, she didn’t expect me to be tall. I didn’t expect her to be tall either and prettier than she already is in the pics. She’s very pretty in person. She’s not as loud as me but was very accomodating. Very friendly I must say and talks in a very low voice. She and Sandy were very dainty. Her Sandy was shy at first but warmed up as the party progressed. Since we were seating next to each other, Sophia was so fond of Sandy. She was even asking where Sandy’s food is.

Next one who arrived was Jody who came with her two adorable daughters and her husband. Jody was my coordinator during my wedding so I know her from before too. I sometimes bother her through text too with other stuff haha. She’s so nice and accomodating as always. A very busy mommy who still finds time blogging. Hats off to you.

If there’s one mommy blogger who I constantly chats with, it’s Peachy. Honestly, when I saw her, I felt that she was a bit shy. I don’t know but for some reason feeling ko na-shy siya. I approached her and talked to her and ayun she warmed up na. Joaqui was so cute and little! Very behaved din ha, not throwing tantrum at all even if he was out the whole day. Taking care of Joaqui without a yaya and gets to do aggresive paid blogging on the side while chatting the day away with me and her family abroad, super mom!

The next one to arrive was Mich who was with the lovely Alex. I didn’t expect Alex to be chubby. Super cute! All smiles pa the little girl same as her mommy. If there’s a smiling face award, it would definitely go to Mich as she has the best smile. All smiles pa all the time. I bet she’s really thankful she attended the party.

Abie came in next with her husband and Bela. If there was a kid there who was as kulit as Sophia, si Bela yun. Pareho silang hyper haha. Abie was really nice and sweet. She looked like she didn’t have a bad bone in her body. I knew even before meeting her that she is both nice and sweet coz she’d always make sure to leave comments and send me ym messages once in a while. A working mom who entered the world of paid blogging too and is doing very well. Kudos to you.

Then came the fashionista mommy, Kelly with Gats sans Manu. She definitely deserved the best dressed award as she was so poised and all while all of us were either shouting, running after kids and playing the games. I wonder if she’ll be that cool and poised with a toddler in tow next time. Honestly, Kelly seemed to be aloof at first (hey impressions ko to so I can anything, haha) but blended instantly after. She told me I was “so” thin pala and and tall. I wish she said pretty din, hahaha. Kelly looked every inch of a fashionista that night.

As I was talking to Apols, another mommy was coming and I honestly can’t figure who. I asked Apols and it was Thea. If there’s one blogger mommy I’m not really familiar with, its Thea. She was with her pretty daughter and was the only one wearing a dress. No, you don’t look preggy at all. We were team mates during one of the games and I’d say she’s very game. I’m starting to really get to know her now as I’m a constant visitor of her blog now.

Last but not the least, when the party was almost over, Apple came with Austin. Too bad we didn’t really got to chat as during this time, it was a riot already. Grimace was dancing and kids were all over the place. It was very nice of her to give out key chains to all the mommies. She looks one ma-kwento mommy too so I hope to get to chat with her soon.

The party was a blast and meeting all the mommies was great. Hopefully we all find time to meet up again soon.
