Every Afternoon.

This is the scene every afternoon in our house – the kids playing at our mini playground. We all can’t wait until the little boy is big enough to walk and run around with his achie. I bet it will be a riot – a happy one at that.

Simply looking at them is bliss. People who don’t have kids yet won’t probably understand but those that do I’m sure can relate. Kids are every parent’s everything. Agree?

I’m getting all mushy here and I don’t know why. Lack of sleep, maybe? Haha. The little boy has colds again so he hasn’t been sleeping well at night. So you see, been awake most nights lately which is why I got to blog a little and was even able to check out Titan luggage. Downside is, I think I’m going to get sick now. Ugh!

Mateo’s Gymboree Day.

Finally, after getting postponed for several times due to certain unavoidable circumstance – Mateo getting sick, typhoons and impromptu out of town trips, I was able to enroll Mateo to the Level 3 Play Class in Gymboree. Wee! Very much long overdue according to the dad but nevertheless, better late than never! :P

Here’s us during our first day. (big sister sophia joined us too!)

Now I need no fat burners anymore as I will definitely loose weight running after an active little boy. I like!!!

Pardon the photos by the way, it was very hard for yaya to take decent shots as we were positioned against the light. Still, I have to capture Mateo’s first just like his achi’s of course. Against the light or not. :D

Mateo’s 1st Haircut.

You all know how I have been itching to cut Mateo’s hair, right? So to say that I was excited last Wednesday, Nov 25, his exact birthday, to have his hair finally cut is an understatement.

We actually went all the way to Kids’ Hair Salon in Podium for the cut as we came from Tayma’s (Jon’s grandmother) house for a little hair cutting ritual first. And then we were off to Podium. Was able to take TONS of photos but here are the best ones (per my standards, haha).

***He didn’t really cry while they were cutting his hair. Only uncomfortable when the hair started going inside his shirt. He was probably getting the itchy feeling so he wanted to be carried instead and was moving a lot. We, or should I say the yayas as I was busy taking photos distracted him with the toys and books or whatever they could get their hands on. And it worked. In no time, he was done even before Jon could read up on the medical travel article on the newspaper.

So, how do you like his hair now? My mom said its way too short while I pretty much like it. He sure looks like a baby no more though. Mukha siyang 2 years old sa gupit nya, agree?

Trip to Manila Ocean Park.

I am swamped with work. Right after Mateo’s party last Saturday, I found myself with a workload higher than Mt. Everest so I haven’t been able to blog real life stuff. Anyway, before I go on with work again and canvass rv insurance on the side, let me blog about Sophia’s field trip to Manila Ocean Park first.

It was both our first time so I share the same excitement as the little girl. I guess being a mom is like that, you get excited over little things your kid is excited about. Are you like that? Or is it just me?

On to the field trip. Here’s our photo as soon as we arrived.

Touching the starfish. I remember when we were in Sydney and Singapore, she refused to touch a starfish even if we bribe her. Now she’s really all grown up. I won’t start on the time flies really fast line again, haha! But seriously, it does! Grabe.

The very reason why she was so excited with the trip – NEMO!

Going around the park was fast so we were done by lunch time. We headed straight to the mall after for some last minute party shopping for Mateo’s birthday.  Will blog about the party next. Watch out.

My Nightingale in Action.

Finally I get time to blog about Sophia’s Literary Program in school. This post has been long over due but better late than never. So here it is before I forget again and lose my time looking for a business plan consultant for the husband.

For their literary program in school this year, Sophia is to recite and sing “The Nightingale” with her friend Eliza. Of course I was one excited mommy and made sure she memorized her lines weeks before the program. She was very cooperative and would even be the one to remind me to go through her lines all the time. She knew her lines by heart so I wasn’t bothered a bit when she walked up on stage. Really. And knowing my daughter, stage fright doesn’t actually exist. :P

Let me share some photos.

And it was finally her turn.

Daddies and mommies were all so proud seeing our kids perform their piece.  We all went home with a smile on our faces.

Lets go Hawaiian!

November was filled with parties and boy was it fun! The last we attended last Sunday was no exemption, it was a Hawaiian 7th Birthday Party of the twins Allysa and Allison. Sophia and I tried our best to dress up for it as indicated in the cute invite we got.

Here’s the best Hawaiian look I can come up with last minute for the little girl.

Hawaiian Party

Sans the dad who was watching the much awaited Pacquio-Cotto fight somewhere in The Fort with his friends, me and my little girl still had fun. Games and food, what can go wrong?

Hawaiian Party

We even had our share at the photo booth. Sophia insisted to put on the pink wig, look.

Now is the time I need you to say that the slimming pills are working on me. :D That dress I’m wearing my sister in law bought last year I never got to wear. It didn’t fit.  Until now!  Spell happy – ME!

Little Dalaga at Dom’s Party.

Before I find myself drowning with work and to dos like looking for Outer Banks vacation homes availabilities, let me just share with you photos of my little girl during Dom’s 1st birthday bash last November 8 at Makati Sports Club. Let me just say – I LOVE her dress and so does everyone who was present at the party. ;P

She looks so dalaga don’t you agree?

Dom's 1st Birthday Party

I always find myself saying – where did all the years go? She used to be this small little girl who can’t even manage to join party games but look at her now. She’d die for a prize, literally. LOL.

Dom's 1st Birthday Party

Party was fab and we all enjoyed it. Thanks for inviting us Mommy Peachy!
