Me and My Day.

I didn’t go to school with Sophia again today even if I planned on going as I needed to run some errands at the mall. I woke up with an aching back that’s why.  I have got a lot on my mind right now you see.  For one, I am still clueless for what venue to consider for the joint celebration of Sophia’s 4th birthday and Baby Bullet’s Baptism Party this March. Wack Wack Gold and Country Club’s Banquet Hall is fully booked for all Saturdays and Sundays of March already. Honestly, after finding out that slots were already taken and paid at that, for some reason, I kind of lost interest planning for the party. Hay…

On to other things, would you know where I can buy a formal maternity dress or gown? I have a wedding to attend to in two weeks time and I am too lazy to look around for something to wear. Maybe you know of a specific store or mall I can go to?  Let me know. :)

I am craving for “Chicharon Bulaklak” for lunch as of writing this. Hay, I wonder where I can buy one!

Anyway, will leave you with this, Sophia’s “baon” for school which she herself packed and chose from the pantry.

Weekend Recap.

Friday

Sophia’s Talent Show in school was postponed. They watched a group of Bayanihan Dancers instead in preparation for their Linggo ng Wika which started yesterday.

Saturday

Yaya went on a sudden day off as her mom who takes care of her baby is sick. So Jon didn’t go to the farm and took care of the little girl which is his usual duty when the yaya is off. Oh, I just love being pregnant LOL! We decided to let Sophia get a haircut so we went to ATC before lunch time. Sophia now sports a shorter hair which I think suits her. :) I don’t have pics to show though as I left my camera at home. We then went to Bio Research in Paranaque to buy salt water for Sophia’s aquarium after eating lunch at Gloria Maris. Sophia was ecstatic to see so many aquariums and fishes. Boy oh boy, this was a filed trip destination pala as we were with some kids from Don Bosco touring the premises. This is where Jon bought Nemo (clownfish) by the way.

Sunday

My family from Pampanga came to visit and we trooped to Tagaytay Highlands. Good thing the weather cooperated so everybody had fun. Sophia and my brothers went fishing, horseback riding and bowling. My brothers also rode the go karts while me, my mom and my sister spent the day eating and talking about their upcoming Las Vegas travel next month. When the kids were done, Sophia insisted on riding the funicular so we obliged. We were able to catch the last funicular trip at 6:00pm. Then, we were off - home. We had dinner at Paseo de Sta. Rosa by the way which has got so many new restos right now. There’s Kanin Club, Poquito Mas, Razon’s, Cabalen to name a few I have noticed but they have got many many more I swear. Again, I have no pics to show as my camera had no battery. Bummer! My sister took pics though so I’ll ask her to email some to me.

Monday

Rest Day, which we (more of I) badly need.

****my internet connection sucks so bad lately. there are a couple of sites i can’t access too like other MBAPs’ blogs and even some of my own… i wonder why.****

Where was I?

All over the place I must say. :D

Was out the whole weekend so didn’t have time to update my blogs.  And now, you could just imagine, I am experiencing major cramming. LOL.

Needless to say, wasn’t able to blog hop so mommies, utang muna my visits. I will in a while. Let me just get back to the groove and breath haha.

My weekend update will be posted in a while so stay tuned. In the meantime, I need to hit the supermarket first and get some grocery supplies.

Later!

Hongkong Trip ‘08 Day 1

We left the house at 5:30am to catch our 8am PAL flight. We were in the airport in no time. Checking in was a breeze. By 7:10am, we were at the Mabuhay Lounge having our breakfast - overflowing congee, sandwiches, fruits, siomai, siopao and coffee.

Here’s me and Sophia while waiting for Jon.

We were in HK excatly after 1 hour and forty minutes. Flight was on time and we were always given priority in the long lines at the immigration and boarding as I was pregnant and was with a baby pa. :D

We hopped on to our bus for our city hotel - Park Lane Hotel in Causeway Bay as soon as we got to HK airport.

Here’s the dad and Sophia while inside the bus.

We had lunch at the hotel and slept after. We woke up at 5pm and strolled around Causeway Bay. Our first stop was Toys R Us in Windsor House just infront of out hotel. Symepre pa, toys galore for the little girl. They didn’t have a Leapster though. Next was Sogo and then around the the streets of Causeway Bay lang. We had roasted duck for dinner after and overflowing salmon sashimi with soya milk! SARAP!!!!

Reporting from Starbucks.

I am here blogging at Starbucks right now while waiting for Salon de Manila here in Alabang to open at 10am.  I’ve made an appointment with my hairstylist, finally, after almost two months after my last haircut.  Geez, I badly need a haircut. My hair is everywhere. LOL.

Here’s what I am having while blogging my heart away by the way … :D

Belgian Waffle (strawberry) and  mango juice.

Antonio’s and Tagaytay Highlands Part 1

We had a sumptuous lunch at Antonio’s in Tagaytay last Sunday.  We were once again yayaless as Sophia’s yaya was on a day-off so it was just the three of us - Jon, Sophia and I which made our lunch date extra sweet.

The little girl was very relaxed so we were not in a hurry to eat at all as she was having fun looking at the coy pond.  We sat right beside the pond thats why. :)

Here are some photos.

Food was yummy but a bit expensive. We are coming back though to try their other specialty - lechon de leche which needs to be called in first a day before.

Next, our Tagaytay Highlands Kwento.

Plans for the Weekend.

It’s weekend once again and here’s what we have planned.

Tomorrow, Jon and I are attending a Parent’s Enrichment Program at Rosemont. This is a five part program all new parents at the said school NEEDS to attend.

By afternoon, Sophia’s yaya will go on a day off and won’t be back until Monday morning. Jon and I are thinking if we can troop to Tagaytay Highlands to finally get our membership cards and try some facilities too. I wonder if we can do so with the little girl. If not, alternative plan is to troop to the mall which we always do when the yaya is on a day off and spend the rest of the day there. If we choose to go with the second plan, we’ll sleep over at the condo and just go home the next day.

Kayo, what are your plans for the weekend?

Pet lovers.

Jon is a pet lover ever since. While I am not, the little girl got such trait from her dad and also loves pets too. It all started when the dad got her a pet dog last year, a chihuahua specifically while the dad got himself a Labrador. Since then, as they always say, the rest is history. After the dog came the love birds. I wasn’t really a fan but I loved the very sassy birdcage that they were in. Soon after, the dad got a new pet for himself, a Mini Bull Terrier which surprisingly, Sophia hates because this specific dog looks like a pig. The dad loved playing with this dog we named “Porky” though as he is very playful. We even got him lots of dog toys that we let him play every afternoon at the garden. Sophia’s Chihuahua would sometimes join but most of the time, this little dog Sophia named “Krung Krung” is content on just sitting and watching while biting his nylon leash. He’s not really very playful.

Right now, the little girl has been bugging her dad to get her a small aquarium with two small fishes that she can put inside her room. She wants to have a pet fish this time. The daddy is just as excited as he has been looking for aquarium kits sold online since yesterday. He showed me this All-Glass Mini-Bow 1 Junior Aquarium Kit in pink and boy oh boy. It’s the cutest thing! For once, I’m excited to have a new pet at home!

Thank you.

Thank you friends for the comments on my jackpot post.  We really are in cloud nine. :) Jon is probably the happiest dad on earth right now, HAHA.  You all know how we wanted to have a boy, right?  And thank you to the Big Man up there who heard our fervent wish.  We really can’t ask for anything more.  To say that we are so blessed is an undertatement.  So, all I can say now really is just THANK YOU.

As all of you have said, quota na kami. Yes, I believe so.  Well, atleast that’s what we think right now.  I wonder if it’ll change in a few years or so but so far, having two - a girl and a boy, is already enough for us.  We have big plans you see so Jon believes we can only sustain two (or three the most) with the lifestyle and plans we have for our kids.

During my ultrasound, funny how my OB Sonologist commented that all the while she thought I was so prim and proper but when she finally wrote the word BOY on the screen, I screamed like a little girl.  I just couldn’t help it as I was preparing myself for another baby girl because most people I know commented that I looked like I was having another Sophia.  But were they so wrong! LOL. Jen are you hearing me?!?! LOL!

Jon had the biggest smile too, I swear. He kept calling everybody after. He even is treating friends to a buffet dinner at Circles in Makati Shang and his farm employees had the whole night drinking, partying and merrying, LOL! Super happy obviously. As for me, I think I still am in denial. I still can’t believe it. I so wanted to have a boy really para we are done and yun nga ang binigay. Hay, as I said in my other post, happy happy joy joy talaga.

Mommy’s Small Red Car.

30.jpg

img_4313.JPG

Today, Jon and I are bidding goodbye to our red Volkswagen New Beetle. After close to seven years, Jon finally had the courage to sell it. This was his dad’s graduation gift back in 2001. When we got married though, it was handed to me as I left my car with my mom after the wedding. I used to drive this red beetle all the time when we didn’t have a driver yet. I take Sophia to Little Gym and Gymboree with it before. The little girl has grown to love it too and would call it “mommy’s small red car”. As time went by though, I discovered the pleasure of having a driver so I never went back to driving the red beauty. Hence, Jon felt “mommy’s small red car” has to go and be replaced with a bigger car we can maximize especially with the coming baby. Ano kaya yun?

Abangan ang susunod na kabanata… :D
