my monday
Once I drop Sophia off to school, I’m going to troop to Rosemont to submit application papers and requirements of the little girl for us to finally schedule an interview. Parent’s interview first, remember? Once I’m done, I’ll be heading to the mall to look for silver shoes Sophia needs to wear for my cousin’s wedding this Saturday. We just had our fitting yesterday and my oh my, the little girl didn’t want to take her gown off, LOL. She was dancing ballet while she was wearing the gown to the designer’s delight. Oh, I can’t wait for Saturday. I’m one uber excited mommy can you tell? Anyway, I need to make a quick trip to the supermarket too to get some stuff, a lot actually – fruits and food supply. I’m itching to eat bicol express because of my chat with Peachy the other day so I’m getting stuff for that and will ask my helper to cook it for dinner. Hay, I bet super sarap. Peachy, try the recipe na! Before I forget, I also need to get Sophia a school certificate from Toddlers Unlimited today for something I’m not revealing yet haha.
By the time I get home, I promised myself to give time in organizing my drawer! Goodness, there could be a snake nesting inside and I wouldn’t even notice! LOL. Ang gulo, I need to fix it by hook or by crook. Wish me luck. I hope opps won’t get in my way today, haha!!!
Have a Happy Monday everyone.
musings for today
Anyway, I’m craving for for green mangoes and bagoong today. No, I’m not pregnant. How I wish I was though! I just love eating mangoes when I have colds. I feel that stuffing my self with foods rich in Vit. C helps me get rid of my colds. I have no idea if there is indeed even a tiny weeny bit of connection but I’ve been used to doing such thing since I can remember. Sophia loves eating green mangoes too would you believe? Sans the bagoong of course. She loves sour food! She craves for sinigang every other day just so you know. She likes her sinigang on the sour side too. She hates it when its bland. She definitely got this from me. We both are not into sweets too like Jon. The dad can’t believe how the little girl seem to hate chocolate, LOL. I remember when I was a kid, I hated chocolate too. I wonder now why. I guess the little girl got more of me when it comes to these things although she physically looks more like her dad. Agree?
2007 recap
Anyway, this was how my 2007 went with this blog as my witness …
January – As I reread my previous posts, I lost my two helpers on the Eve of New Year. Did the cooking all by myself and with the maid I borrowed from my MIL. My in-laws were in the US that time so we spent the New Year with a friend here at home. Around this time, I was also preschool hunting for Sophia.
February – I had an anonymous reader who left a very judgmental comment on my cbox. This time of the month, I was busy preparing for Sophia’s 2nd birthday.
March – Sophia’s 2nd Birthday Party here at home. We flew to Bangkok the next day after her birthday party too.
April – Enrolled Sophia at the summer program of Toddlers Unlimited. My ssiter graduated from college too and our friends, JR and Mimi got married.
May – Went to HK Disneyland the second time around with my family and some relatives.
June – Singapore trip with Jon’s family. Shopping at its best as it was The Great Singapore Sale. Sophia, at this month, officially became a preschooler too. Enrolled her full time at Toddlers Unlimited in Alabang. June was also my birth month by the way.
July – Our 3rd year wedding anniversary. Had the best and so far the wildest despedida party for our good friend, Xandra.
August – Sophia is officially potty trained. She went to school without any nappy on.
September – I gave in and ventured into paid blogging like everyone else.
October – Australia Trip! Our best trip so far
BUT, two weeks before we leave, Sophia was confined in the hospital for five freaking days!
November – Sophia’s Halloween Party. She came to school as a bumblebee to everyone’s delight. Got compliments from fellow mommies with her costume.
December – Christmas 2007. Sophia’s best Christmas so far as she’s old enough to understand and appreciate what Christmas has to offer
I wouldn’t have remembered all these without the help of blogging so I am loving blogging more and more. It helps me remember things and gives me moohlah! Who wouldn’t love it then?!
great start
Happy New Year!
a day after christmas
Yesterday was a tiring day indeed but was a merry one. Everybody was just in a festive mood. Food was also overwhelming everywhere we went that I still feel full until today from everything I ate yesterday. Goodness, I might have gained five pounds at least in one day! Not to worry though as I’ll be yayaless in two days for a week so I am sure to burn everything and probably more while babysitting the little princess full time.
Anyway, we’ll be back home tomorrow so you’ll probably hear from me then. I just needed to squeeze in an opp or two while the little girl is taking a bath as I badly need to kill time while we’re here ;p
