On watches.

I am not a watch person. I’d rather buy expensive bags than luxury watches. My husband thinks such is odd though as he believes watches are more worth it and are another form of investment. My mom can’t agree more. She has watches of all types actually while I only have an Omega which is already my most expensive watch to date. I would love to own a Rolex eventually though but the husband thinks I should also try to look at Cartier Watches. As I did, I found this one (below) at TheWatchery.com nice. It is actually on sale right now.

As I browsed through the site some more, I saw really cute Tag Heuer Watches that are good for everyday use. Some are even at 50% off. The husband owns one and he uses it everyday so maybe I should settle for one? His Tag Heuer watch according to him has been with him since college and until now, its still in very good condition. Now, that is one thing I should consider, right? But I also heard nice feedback on Movado Watches so I tried searching to find out how they look like and I must say, they do have really nice models good for everyday use too. Now, I have never been confused. I’ll just leave the deciding to the husband. After all, he’ll be the one paying, LOL.

Anyway, here are some more photos last Sunday at where else, Antonio’s again!

Can you see my husband? I just need to brag that he lost around 18 pounds now all on his own without even having to take the best pill they call Ephedrasil Hardcore.

Antonio’s and Tagaytay Highlands Part 2.

Part one here.

After our sumptuous lunch at Antonio’s, we headed to Tagaytay Highlands to finally get our membership cards. We of course tried them while we were there.

First off, Sophia wanted to go horseback riding and here she is …

Then we went to the animal farm. Here are some pics.

img_4371.JPGimg_4372.JPGimg_4373.JPGimg_4375.JPG

We were hungry by the time we finished going around the zoo so we took the cable car going to the club house to eat. My camera ran out of battery at this time as I forgot to charge it so wasn’t able to take pics anymore. After eating, Sophia wanted to go fishing and ride the funicular going to midlands but it was already 6pm so they were closed already. She instead played on the outdoor playground before we went home with some other kids.

By the time we reached the car, the little girl was so tired and in no time, she dozed off. Jon then dropped by a friend’s car supply store to get the steering rack he ordered and off we went home. It was a fun but tiring day. We promised the little girl to make her swim and go fishing next time we come back. Now, she can’t wait to go back!

Xbox 360.

Is it worth it to get an Xbox 360? I have been asking myself that as no matter how my little girl loves playing her uncle’s Xbox while we are in Pampanga, I can’t help but wonder if it’ll be worth my money to buy her one. More so, with so many video game consoles available in the market now, its very confusing which one is better than the other and why. Good thing, the husband stumbled upon a video game consoles buying guide over the net so now we are getting ourselves familiar and acquainted little by little with what is available out there and which one is best for our little girl. After all, with the hard times we are having right now, every centavo must be well spent. Money don’t grow on trees you know.

But knowing this, Jon and I also know that we should learn how to enjoy our hard earned money so little splurges here and there are fine. So after reading more about Xbox 360, we found more reasons to snag an Xbox 360 now than to let it pass even if its quite expensive. The features and specs has got the husband excited too. We have never been as convinced to get one than now.

Sweet.

One fine afternoon, nagkukulitan ang mag-daddy. :D

Soon, Baby Bullet will join them. :D Ang saya-saya!

In need of lighting fixtures.

Jon just finished having his parents’ house renovated as his surprise for their arrival from the US. His parents were in the US for a month to visit his sister and they didn’t have a clue that while away, Jon was busy fixing up their house. Sweet isn’t it?

Right now, construction is done. The roman shades and the LCD TV were already installed the other day too. All that is left to buy now are the light fixtures specifically ceiling light fixtures as Jon also replaced the old ones. For the living room and the dining room, he is thinking of getting chandeliers which I think is a good idea. I also saw really nice bathroom light fixtures over the net that I will show him when he comes home tonight. Perfect for his mom and dad’s bathroom.

I hope we get all stuff done right before his parents arrive in a couple of days. I’m sure they’ll be delighted and will find the gesture from their son extra sweet. I definitely would, won’t you?

Fatal.

My husband comes from a family with cardiac arrest history. Actually, two of his uncles were victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Because of this, Jon has been vigilant as he doesn’t want to be caught off guard. He wants to familiarize himself with Sudden Cardiac Arrest and the risk of personally encountering this condition as such is responsible for 325,000 deaths per year. Shocking isn’t it? Good thing, at InsideCardiacArrest.com, important information is available so one can better understand the potential dangers and what one can do such as having Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators, a small battery-powered electrical impulse generator which is implanted in patients who are at risk of sudden cardiac death due to ventricular fibrillation. To learn more, visit their site and you’ll be surprised to find out about this very fatal occurrence.

My “bilins”.

Jon is off to the mall today to pick up the entertainment system at Listening in Style in Shangrila. I am too lazy to join him as I am nursing a bad cold so I just made a list of stuff I need him to get for me and the little girl. He frowned when he saw the long list, haha.

Here’s my list.

~ get me an extra compact flash memory card for my canon digital ixus camera
~ buy the cinderella lamp at Mickey’s Space which I failed to get last Sunday
~ look for an aquarium kit for the little girl as she has been begging to have a little aquarium inside her room for the longest time now
~ get the shoes I reserved at Nine West
~ buy red ribbon “mamon”, Sophia’s favorite snack to bring to school lately
~ order California Roll for take out at SumoSam

Now, is my list worth frowning?

Pet lovers.

Jon is a pet lover ever since. While I am not, the little girl got such trait from her dad and also loves pets too. It all started when the dad got her a pet dog last year, a chihuahua specifically while the dad got himself a Labrador. Since then, as they always say, the rest is history. After the dog came the love birds. I wasn’t really a fan but I loved the very sassy birdcage that they were in. Soon after, the dad got a new pet for himself, a Mini Bull Terrier which surprisingly, Sophia hates because this specific dog looks like a pig. The dad loved playing with this dog we named “Porky” though as he is very playful. We even got him lots of dog toys that we let him play every afternoon at the garden. Sophia’s Chihuahua would sometimes join but most of the time, this little dog Sophia named “Krung Krung” is content on just sitting and watching while biting his nylon leash. He’s not really very playful.

Right now, the little girl has been bugging her dad to get her a small aquarium with two small fishes that she can put inside her room. She wants to have a pet fish this time. The daddy is just as excited as he has been looking for aquarium kits sold online since yesterday. He showed me this All-Glass Mini-Bow 1 Junior Aquarium Kit in pink and boy oh boy. It’s the cutest thing! For once, I’m excited to have a new pet at home!

Thank you.

Thank you friends for the comments on my jackpot post.  We really are in cloud nine. :) Jon is probably the happiest dad on earth right now, HAHA.  You all know how we wanted to have a boy, right?  And thank you to the Big Man up there who heard our fervent wish.  We really can’t ask for anything more.  To say that we are so blessed is an undertatement.  So, all I can say now really is just THANK YOU.

As all of you have said, quota na kami. Yes, I believe so.  Well, atleast that’s what we think right now.  I wonder if it’ll change in a few years or so but so far, having two - a girl and a boy, is already enough for us.  We have big plans you see so Jon believes we can only sustain two (or three the most) with the lifestyle and plans we have for our kids.

During my ultrasound, funny how my OB Sonologist commented that all the while she thought I was so prim and proper but when she finally wrote the word BOY on the screen, I screamed like a little girl.  I just couldn’t help it as I was preparing myself for another baby girl because most people I know commented that I looked like I was having another Sophia.  But were they so wrong! LOL. Jen are you hearing me?!?! LOL!

Jon had the biggest smile too, I swear. He kept calling everybody after. He even is treating friends to a buffet dinner at Circles in Makati Shang and his farm employees had the whole night drinking, partying and merrying, LOL! Super happy obviously. As for me, I think I still am in denial. I still can’t believe it. I so wanted to have a boy really para we are done and yun nga ang binigay. Hay, as I said in my other post, happy happy joy joy talaga.
