Father’s Day.

Sophia’s school yearly celebrates Father’s Day on the first month of the year. For two consecutive years now, Jon and Sophia belong to the Red Team, this year – The Red Team Bagets. The event is always fun- kids get to play games with their dads, dads get to compete with other dads and moms get to mingle and cheer for their father and daughter team.

Let me share some photos.

While lining up for the parade. The dad looks so unexcited, haha!

There were a number of booths present – gold’s gym (which I didn’t bother to check as I’m hoping strivectin will do wonders for me), memory charms, face painting booth and some real estate booths to name a few.

And then the games.
That’s Jon and Sophia doing their thing.

Ashton’s 1st Birthday.

Our inaanak, Ashton, celebrated his 1st birthday last Sunday. The driver was out that day and Jon had to go somewhere first for something important (car matters again as I overheard him talk about car grilles with a friend over the phone) so I had to drive the kids all the way to QC for the party. Good thing it was a Sunday and traffic was bearable at SLEX. Jon just met us at the party venue and he gave me the surprise of a lifetime! Literally, my jaw dropped! Why? I think I have to keep it to myself this time. :D

Anyway, here are some party photos.

My long drive was worthit as Sophia was reunited with her best friend and both had the time of their lives participating in all the party games.  They took home most of the prizes too! My little boy, on the other hand, was such an angel again. Didn’t even cry even if we stayed past his bedtime already.

On the way home, we rode with the daddy as the driver came to pick up the car I used. Buti na lang. :)

Travel Update.

To date, no specific plans still. Boo.

Seriously, after much thought and being the scaredy cat that I am, I am putting off travel plans for now. Jon is leaving with his dad though for HK next month to attend to some bank stuff. We’ll be left behind as per my decision. :( My mother in law agreed with me though and said “better be safe than sorry.” Nasa huli nga naman ang pagsisisi diba? There would always be next time.

We do have other definite plans though like HK for December and US trip come March. I just hope the virus clears up by that time! December trip will be with my family and it’ll be our first time to be in HK Christmas time. I am so excited! I would love the cold weather for sure and my kids will love Disneyland in Christmas time too I bet. Oh, I can’t wait.

I am extremely excited about our US trip too, of course! The husband already confirmed that we are finally going to US by the time Sophia’s school is over so I am one happy gal. Two weeks is all the husband can spare away from work though but I am not complaining. That is more than enough for me. We plan to just meet my sister in law in LA anyway and not go all the way to her flat in Virginia to save time. After all, the places we want to go to are all in LA. My father in law suggested that we make the most out of the trip though and go around west coast. We’ll see about that.

With the husband’s confirmation of the US trip, as early as now, I am already looking for hotels or vacation houses where we can stay at when we go to LA. Knowing my husband, he won’t settle for anything less than three stars or should i say four? Nothing like those of Outer Banks rentals I saw online but hopefully close enough. He’s very picky when it comes to places to stay at you see so I need to do my share of research. I have to find a place that meets his standards which also won’t break his pocket or else no shopping moohlah for me and the kids! LOL. We’ll be staying in a hotel for the whole two weeks we’ll be there kasi so I need to look for something affordable. Any suggestions?

So far, these two travel confirmations from the husband are more than enough for me to be excited about right now.  After all, I’m also excited and will be pretty occupied with the preparation for Mateo’s 1st birthday party this November too.

See, I’ve got a lot on my plate now. Puro gastos, haha!!!

Weight issues.

Jon and I are making a pact. We are now dead serious on losing weight, both of us. Fact is, I am making the diet menu now for one whole month. I hope that with our special diet and a fat loss pill, we’ll be close to our goal of getting into our dream weight. You see, both of us are really frustrated. We both can’t fit into our old clothes anymore. So we really need to do this. Besides, it’ll be for our health too.  We are pork eaters and are so into all things greasy/oily and it has got to stop – now.

Wish us luck!

Just so you know, we are researching about South Beach Diet in the pic below. LOL.

Father’s Day.

Last Sunday was Rosemont’s celebration of Father’s Day and here are some photos during the event.

This year’s theme was Dad’s Camp and the kids were divided into three teams. Jon and Sophia were part of the Red Team.

And here, look at our family photo – my recent photo which just proves that I’ve had too much of Royce Chocolates! I badly need new diet pills that work don’t you think?

A Ballerina Party?

Two months before Sophia’s 4th Birthday and Mateo’s Baptism Party, we haven’t finalized the theme yet. I know I said we’re having a Nemo Party as per the little girl’s request but you see, the dad including all the party organizers I talked to doesn’t really love the idea. They find the theme a bit odd for a 4 year old and a little girl at that. Hmm, now I’m also having second thoughts about it.

So as a result, for days now we have been trying to talk to the little girl about having a different party theme instead. I have tried bribing her too but to no avail. The dad had a brilliant idea however. He suggested that we just give the little girl a small Nemo Party in school while she gets to have a different party theme on her real party at C3 Events Place. Now I think this is going to work. (I hope!) Why didn’t I think of that? Maybe because I thought that the dad won’t agree to another party as we are already having one that requires quite a big budget but apparently he is up for it. Wow! I wonder what he ate, LOL!

So now I am searching the net high and low for a nice theme for Sophia’s 4th Birthday Party. I want something really girly. No High School Musical and Hannah Montana though as Sophia barely knows them. You may find that odd and I swear I do too but what can a mother do? She really isn’t inclined to singing and dancing. She loves ballet though lately as she has ballet books such as Angelina Ballerina and I’m thinking maybe she can have a Ballerina Party? The dad thinks its a nice idea but I don’t know yet. I wonder if I can pull that off so I’m still looking for other theme alternatives. The thought of Sophia in a Ballerina Princess costume though is such a delight and I’m sure she’ll love it and will look good in it too as she wears her leotards and tutu almost everyday at home. Getting her a Ballerina Princess costume won’t be a problem too I think because I’ll just check my favorite online store that sells different costumes either for Halloween and Kiddie Parties. They happen to have the nicest bunny costumes I’ve ever seen too. Not that I need one now but if ever I will need one in the future I know where to get such already. You should try them too for your costume needs.

Anyway, back to the party, any suggestions of better party themes? Let me know and I’ll be so happy and grateful of course. I can’t seem to think of any right now as my mind is so blank for some reasons. Hay, the clock is ticking. I need to finalize things now as I’ll be meeting with the invites supplier in a week or so.

Here’s Sophia pretending to be a ballerina by the way. You think a ballerina party suits her?

Bedtime.

This is usually our bedtime routine – Sophia playing games in my laptop with the dad and Mateo spending time with mommy. :)
