The Kids Now …

With a blink of an eye, I no longer have a baby in the house. Proof?

Here …

Who would have thought the little girl who used to cling to me like a leech is now a very independent 5 year old? She now has a mind of her own, chooses the clothes she wants to wear and the shoes to go along with her outfits. She even claims that all my bags are soon going to be hers already. Hilarious! She loves wearing dresses and headbands. She’s in SK class and by next year, she’ll officially no longer a preschooler. Gradeschooler already!

And my boy. He’s turning 19 months old and he’s very tall isn’t he? Everyone would say he looks older. He isn’t talking yet, just babbling. We’re seeing a Dev Ped for this actually. He’s one happy baby and I’m looking forward to the day he get to say – “Mommy!”

Time indeed does fly. Cliche as it may sound but its true.  I get a bit emotional when I think of how they were just once babies who I cuddle all day, all night in my arms and now they have gotten so big! Oh well, that’s life I guess. Now I’m looking forward to doing greater things with both of them. Shopping we do a lot now (which reminds me I have to get the husband the laptop briefcase I promised him!) and hopefully we get to travel again soon.

Don’t ever be busy.

The other day while I was busy reading lipozene reviews online, my daughter got my cellphone and started sending text messages to the husband. Here’s how their exchange of messages went:

Sophia: daddyhowareyouimissyoudoyoumissme

(Yes, my daughter doesn’t know how to use the space key, haha. And I never bother teaching her. I want her to figure it out herself.)

Daddy: Yes I miss you. I love you, mwah.

Sophia: iloveyoutooilikeyourmwahtextwhereareyou

Daddy: I’m still working. I’m busy.

Sophia: hidaddydontbebusy

And then by this time, the daddy must have been really busy and didn’t get to text back so the little girl sent this  …

Sophia: hidaddyhowcomeyoudidnttextyet

No reply from the dad still so the little girl tried to call out of frustration maybe. No answer.

Sophia: hidaddyanswermycall

Sophia:hidaddynevereverbebusyanddolovemeandyourfamily

And the text messages ended there. The daddy called and they talked. The little girl kept saying, “I should be more important than any meeting, okay?” HAHAHA. CUUTEEEEE diba????

Good News and Sunday Stealing.

I was so happy to hear from my cousin the very good news. Really happy for her! The gmat prep courses she took last year really paid off and did wonders for her and her future career. Proud proud proud of her. We actually can’t stop talking over the phone that if not for the high phone bill I’d have pay, we still won’t hung up. Now this makes me sad that we were not able to push through with our planned US trip last March. We could have seen each other. Sigh.

Trumpets Childrens Theater.

Before I forget …

My daughter joined the Trumpets Childrens Theater Playshop for summer and she had the best time indeed. It was a very nice and different experience for her and us parents too. Mighty proud of her of course during the recital. She looked like a pro! LOL.

Here are some photos.

On our way to the venue at Ortigas without face paint yet. We were early so Jon dropped by a friend’s house first to check on the electronic cigarette. He was not interested. He has long quit smoking for years now. Clap clap!

The play was fun. We’ll definitely be back next year.

My 30th.

Its my 30th birthday tomorrow so can we not talk about funeral cost, please? Haha. On to birthday plans instead. Well, nothing fancy really. Will just take the kids to Sofitel Hotel for an overnight stay while I host a dinner for a few friends at Spiral. The kids can probably swim with Jon in the afternoon while I chill and take photos, maybe.  I’m really not fond of swimming so my husband is actually wondering why I even bother on making him agree to have a pool in our new home.  Well, for the kids!  Nothing more, nothing less. :)
