Kid’s glasses for $8!

Just a while ago, I’ve seen Zenni Optical on TV!!! And they now offer prescription glasses for kids! This is such wonderful news. Now, your kids breaking their prescription glasses while at rough play in school won’t set you back a hundred dollar or more. With $ 8 Rx eyeglasses at Zenni Optical, getting a new pair of glasses won’t be hard on you budget. Not at all. Quality wise, parents shouldn’t worry too as each prescription glass comes with a full guarantee. All for $8! High Five to Zenni Optical!

Seven!

On his 7th month, he can now sit on his own, loves babbling in a very loud voice but still hates drinking milk. He loves solids though. His fave right now is mashed sayote with broccoli, yummy!  He sleeps through the night but wakes up really early at 6am.  Naps twice or thrice a day and while awake, he loves to play in his exersaucer and playpen.  Both are hand me downs from his achi.  He poops in the potty seat (which I have to take a pic of!) twice a day  – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  So far, he’s one happy baby. I don’t like his fondness for thumb sucking though. I hope he outgrows it soon.

He’s really growing very fast. Pretty soon, he’ll join his achi playing with the swing sets on our lawn. And I’ll have two kids running around the house already. I bet it’ll spell chaos. Something I really won’t mind though. :)

Party preparation for his 1st birthday by the way is in full blast now. This keeps me so excited lately. I just wish I could squeeze everything in with our budget. Wish me luck!

Mommy and daughter date.

It was our usual date when her yaya goes on a day-off. Only this time I met with Mateo’s birthday party planner first.

Last Saturday was bonding time again for me and my little girl.

We were at Powerplant at 1o:30 am. First stop – breakfast.

(Mc Donalds in Powerplant doesn’t serve breakfast so we ended up having donuts instead.)

our breakfast - donut!

And then shopping. I got myself a pair of flats from Aldo while Sophia got another Hannah Montana DVD and a pair of sandals. Here she is while we were paying for her DVD.

Lunch time at Burgoo after.

(Reason why she wanted Burgoo was to be able draw on the table top.)

We went to see a friend after.  Since we were using my MIL’s driver (ours was sick), he wasn’t familiar with the place so we got lost! How I wish we have those gps systems so it would be easier to find our way around. Oh well, soon I hope those will be available in our side of the world.

Killer Attack.

Michael Jackson’s death came as a surprise to us all. I am not a loyal fan but the news that the King of Pop died made me real sad. It practically made my whole day gloomy. And reading about his childhood made me all the more sad.

I made sure to catch the news that day as I wanted details on his death. They said he died of a cardiovascular attack which they highly differentiated with heart attack. In my side of the world, the news that day even cited popular people who also died of cardiovascular attack. And we had a pretty good number. Scary. And then I did a bit of reading. I thought that there must be something that could lessen the probability of suffering the attack or something aside from living a healthy lifestyle of course. And there it was, according to American Heart Association, Omega 3 fatty acids benefit the heart of healthy people and those of high risk or who have cardiovascular disease. Bingo! Now those Omega 3 health supplements are worth checking, don’t you think? So far, Omax3 seems to be a very good choice as they claim that they have developed the highest purity omega-3 supplement available over the counter even verifying it via their freezer test. Check their website for more details.

We should all start living healthy and there is no better time to start it than now.  Being young is no excuse to not think of our health (yet).

I should practice what I preach! LOL.
