He’s 4 months old!

Boy oh boy, isn’t he just plain adorable?!?!?!

img_5742.JPG

He gives extra joy to our mornings lately.  His smile and laughter fills the house togtehr with his ate’s shrieking voice.  At exactly four months yesterday, he weighs 18 pounds and he’s 28 inches long! I think he’d be one tall boy someday. The nurse had to double check his height as he is quite long for his age.  :)

This early, I am already planning for his 1st birthday party come November. I am one excited mommy you see. I can’t wait. Right now, I’m looking at a custom promotional product online which I think can also pass for a giveaway during his party. We’ll see …

Summer Activities

Here’s what I have in store for the little girl this summer:

Ballet – she’s currently attending ballet class at Effie Nanas dancing studio in Shangrila Mall.  So far, she loves it to bits! She’s very attentive during class and I’m one proud mommy of course.  Major booboo, forgot to bring my camera so let me share with you a very blurred photo of the kids while in class doing some stretching.

Gymboree Art Class – since Sophia loves doing art stuff, I thought of enrolling her at Gymboree again. She used to attend art classes here when she was still younger and the projects they make are always fun to do so I decided to make her take the class again.  Gymboree even offers sibling class now. Great isn’t it? I can’t wait when Mateo is old enough to join her ate!

ENOPI – she’s scheduled to have her diagnostic test by next week and then she’ll start classes right away.  This is to supplement what she learns in school particularly in Math and  English.  Its a one on one thing so I really like it.

I’m still thinking if I should enroll her to swimming class this summer. But I am very much interested with cooking class too so I’m in a lookout for a good cooking class. Any leads?

I hope the little girl will be pretty occupied with the activities in store for her. And most of all, I hope she gets to have loads of fun.

Off to looking for something my sister can wear to work, Dansko professional clogs maybe?

Snagged from Peachy

1. What’s your favorite frozen heat-and-eat food?

: Pizza also :)

2. How sensitive are you to cool temperatures?

: I easily get cold but I don’t mind the cold temperature. Would even love to live in a country with cooler temperature than ours so I could have an excuse to drink wine every now and then before going to bed.  I may even join the wine of the month club if ever :)

3. How many ice-cube trays are there in your freezer?

: We don’t have any, haha.

4. What aspect of your life seems to be frozen in place?

: College years I think.

5. What’s your favorite blanket like?

: Soft and comfy.

Sophia’s 4th Birthday Party Supplier Ratings

This post is so late since I am ultra lazy lately but I promised a few people that I’m making one so here it is.

Venue: C3 Events Place, Greenhills (7262712)

sophia0251.JPG

I wanted a venue that’s near Mary the Queen parish since Mateo will baptized there so I settled with C3. Had no problem dealing with them. My contact was Mark and he was very efficient. He scheduled the food tasting and Jon and I liked the food. Not SUPER delicious though but pretty good especially the dessert.

Balloon Decor: Balloon Creations (7229851)

sophia0253.JPGsophia0271.JPGimage-thumb4.png

Balloon Creations did a wonderful job.  Everyone commented on how nice the decor was. I must say that I was pleased too but the decor came with a rather hefty price as per a friend who is also in the biz.  I wouldn’t have known that, oh well … But I’m still happy that I got them though. They were very easy to talk to, Michelle was very efficient and the ownder Heidi was nice.  I booked Apollo, The Golden Show, my foodcarts – Starbucks, FIC and NYFD from them.  No problem at all.

Invitation: Balloon Creations too

sophia0229.JPG

I’m very happy with the invitations.  Love love them.  Ms Heidi even made them bigger than what we agreed on without extra charge. :)

Host: Apollo

Almost all the party organizers I’ve talked to have nothing but praises for this guy.  He came very well recommended. During the party though, I was too busy to notice if he was really that good. LOL. But I guess he was. :D

Entertainment: The Golden Show

sophia0550.JPG

This guy was so funny! He was so sulit, I swear. His antics were a hit. He was really good. You should try him for your parties. I’m really glad I did.  Guests had so much fun with his show.

Food Carts: FIC, Starbucks and NYFD

All were a hit especially Starbucks.  Had to order 20 additional fraps pa for the latecomers, HAHA. You girls know who you are. ;D

Giveaways: Sheila Contento (4504122)

sophia0350.JPG

I gave out Nemo trolley bags with lunch bags as giveways and EVERYBODY loved them!  Who wouldn’t? They’ll be very useful for school kids, right?  Sophia adores hers and by June, she’ll definitly use it for school. :) Sheila was very nice.  She accomodated my extra orders last minute but too bad she didn’t finish some.  I wish she told me that the last batch of orders won’t be bale to make it. But overall, I had no problem dealing with her. She was very helpful all througout my party planning even.  We chat almsot everyday and let me repeat, she’s very nice so nevermind thelast minute booboo. :)

Cakes: Top Cakes (09198525588) and C3

sophia0300.JPG

This Nemo cake of Sophia was from Top Cakes.  Everybody raved about how nice it was. It’s huge too! Bigger than Sophia.  I’ve a picture to prove that. You see, we took the whole cake home thats why.  The little girl won’t let us leave it at C3, haha.  Mary Ann was very nice, easy to talk too also and was very open to revisions on the designs etc.  We only met once and I didn’t have any problem with her.  Will definitely get her again.

sophia0292.JPG

Mateo’s cake was from C3. It was part of the package I got. I didn’t expect it to be nice since it was just pasrt of the package but lo and behold, it was very cute too, don’t you agree?  I love it!!!

Photo booth: Fabfoto (4122347)

sophia0285.JPG

The photo booth as expected was a hit to the guests – adult and kids alike.  I chose fabfoto over other photo booths abounding because I loved their booth! haha. Babaw ba? I liked kasi a booth with cloth cover eh. Wala lang, type ko lang. :)   I considered baicapture, pose and print and the other one from meme of Konsepto.  I’m happy with my choice.  It was very easy to deal with them. Oh, I almost forgot, Shiela booked them for me. Thanks, Shiela!

Prizes: Toys R Us, Toy Kingdom, Shopwise and 168 Mall

There you go. I hope this post could be of help to other party planning moms out there.  And to friends who are waiting for this, let me know if you have any more questions. Will gladly answer them for you.

Off to looking for diet supplements online again now. Seeing my photos during the party gives me my much needed motivation to lose weight. I look so big!

Articulate Award

My little girl was given the Articulate Award during their culminating activity in school last March 6.  I so liked it better than the other awards – most helpful, most thoughtful, most creative etc.  LOL. Here she is receiving the certificate.

img_5633.JPG

The event was nothing fancy.  The Nursery Class performed a dance number and a song number and that was it.  I don’t have a decent pic of the little girl’s dance number so will just share this one where the kids were singing their happiness song.

img_5637.JPG

By next year, the little girl will be in Junior Kinder already. I can’t believe it has been a year since she entered a big school setting. Time really flies.  Before I know it, she’ll be in grade 1!  Oh my! Good thing I have little Mateo now who I can’t wait to turn six months so I can enroll him to Gymboree and Little Gym classes just like his ate.

Okay, enough of this. I have got a ton on my to do list. On top of the list is to look for rv parks. Later!

Sophia’s school party.

Aside from her C3 party, my little girl requested for a school party and I obliged of course. I just love parties- small or big ones. :)

Here are some photos. It was a Friday so the little girl was in her PE uniform.

Here’s her mini Nemo cake – again!

img_5573.JPG

And her Nemo cupcakes. Notice one missing on the corner? I ate it, haha!

The personalized body bag giveaways.

And here is the birthday girl …

img_5581.JPG

Chow time.

img_5584.JPG

And then came the part I told you in my previous post.

Sophia: “You can go now, Mom. I can eat by myself.”

Tsk Tsk….

There you go, finally blogged about the school party. Next on my list is the supplier ratings for the party last March 1.  This will be after I research about Mesothelioma.

My 4 year old.

img_5594.JPG

As she officially turns four today, I can’t help but be sentimental as I look back how she used to be this tiny baby I held in my arms four years ago who cries for milk all the time – the whole time.  Having her gave me a taste of motherhood and since then I never looked back.  As I would always say, I was born to be a mom – a stay at home mom that is.

I can’t believe how she has grown so much. Sometimes I tend to deny the fact that she no longer needs me by her side the whole time but the thing is she really doesn’t anymore. She has grown to be very independent now which is a good thing but surprisingly gives my heart a tug every once in a while.   Take for example the day she celebrated her 4th birthday in school (pics I have yet to share).  After blowing her candle and distributing the food for the class, she then turned to me and said in a very casual voice/tone,  “You can go now, Mom. I can eat by myself.”

I almost cried!

So today, on her birthday, here’s what I would want to tell my one and only princess.

To my Dear Sophia, you will always be mommy’s baby.  Having you was my biggest blessing (same with Mateo) and seeing what you have become now is my greatest fulfillment.  You have grown to be a very smart, affectionate and loving little girl which makes me so proud.  Remember that whatever road you will choose to take, mommy and daddy will always be here to support you all the way.  We love you!

On her birthday by the way, we had her blow a cake from Red Ribbon, her angkong and ama paid a visit and I promised to buy her “pink” cymbals as per her request.  I hope to find one! And leads? And oh, she talked to her favorite Auntie Nancy in Florida over the phone for a couple of minutes. I wish it was toll free so they can talk for hours but it wasn’t.

And there, the little girl’s birthday passed – uneventful but meaningful, atleast for me.
