Me and the little girl.

Here’s how I look like now, three weeks after I gave birth to our little prince – Mateo.

Photo was taken yesterday at Sophia’s school party. (Never mind my excess weight, I badly need Leptorexin I know) I went with the little girl as I miss spending time with her – just her.  I guess I’m still in the adjustment stage of having to attend to two kids but I know, for sure, I’ll get used to it.  Anyway, here are more photos of the little girl.

Bedtime.

This is usually our bedtime routine – Sophia playing games in my laptop with the dad and Mateo spending time with mommy. :)

And here they are striking a pose – the three people I love the most. :)

Bonding Time.

Its bonding time for Jon and the little girl today as Sophia’s yaya is on a day-off so it was the husband who took the princess to school sans the driver. He’ll also be the one to pick her up of course after three hours and then they’ll be off to Manila to settle some stuff and have lunch. Isn’t that sweet?  I just hope the husband can stand the little girl and vice versa. LOL.  I hope too that dear husband can make Sophia eat lunch. That I will find out when they get home this afternoon.  :)

As for me, all I asked was for them to bring home Paella Negra from Las  Paellas. Yummy! Can’t wait. :)

By the way, tomorrow, it’ll be my time off. Its my check up and then I’ll head on over to the salon and the mall to buy our “babies” gifts for our Christmas Party on Saturday here at home.  I’m sure it’ll be a blast again just like last year and the year before, and the year before that.  Food this year is courtesy of CCME, thanks to MBAPs for introducing them to me during our MBAP Party.  Food from them is so sulit for the price.  :)

I’ll try to work on my very short and uneventful birthing story after this post. Hope Mateo won’t wake up anytime soon. I wish!

One Sunday.

Days before I gave birth, Jon, the little girl and I were all over the place looking for a theater like chair for Jon’s office. He recently replaced his 32 inch LCD TV with a bigger plasma thats why. The smaller LCD is now in Mateo’s room, the nursery downstairs. Here’s the daddy and the little girl trying one of the chairs we saw after we heard the Sunday mass …

And the “ate”.

We also saw some snow chains but of course we don’t need any so we didn’t bother to take time to look. We didn’t take the chair by the way. We instead got the black one – a La-Z-Boy wannabe hahaha.

Thankful.

The husband is off to attend a stag party so I am left here at home with the kids and my army. :D You wonder what army? My “personal army” as Jon and I fondly call them – Yaya Candy (Mateo’s Yaya), Yaya Lyn (Sophia’s Yaya), Manang Betsy (our cook and housegirl), Manang Babylyn (our laundrygirl) and Kuya Noel (our driver).

Running a house with five stay-in aids is no joke. Aside from it being expensive, sometimes they get to each other’s nerves too so I get to be their referee. I am thankful though that I have a good bunch as I know how hard it is to find people to trust. So I make sure they get what they deserve or even more because I badly need all of them. :D Seriously, no matter how hands on I am with my kids, I still need their yayas to lend me a hand every time. And as I have posted before, finding a good and reliable yaya to trust is a blessing and so far I’m truly blessed. I have two wonderful yayas who help me and keep me sane. Finding them through agencies was tough luck and as my mom and mom in law would put it – “parati naman daw akong nakakaswerte”. As we all know, there are a lot of horror stories about maids from agencies and I am just happy that I don’t have one to share, just yet. *crossfingers* I did however had an issue with one agency before but not with the maid they supplied me with so that doesn’t count.

So why am I writing this? I don’t know, I just felt the need to after being out today for the first time with my two kids in tow. The two yayas just made it easier for me. And for that, I’m very thankful. Even while at home, I get to have my me time which I value no matter how short as I can be in front of the computer just long enough to do stuff I enjoy – shop online, blog and chat. Just like now, I’m checking out stuff online as my sister in law is coming home on the 20th. I hope I get to score some great deals at RL again and get to grab a used cisco which I badly need.

Oh, chocolates!

During times like this where getting three hours of sleep a day is something to be thankful already, I find myself indulging in my next favorite thing to do aside from sleeping – EATING. And what you may ask? These … the addicting melts in your mouth ROYCE Chocolates my in laws got from Singapore. Last week though, was able to buy from a local store – Konbini Store in Greenhills and the two boxes I got only lasted for, say, two days?! I now wonder how long these six boxes will last. :D

Hay, buti na lang di talaga ako tabain or else treadmills will be my new best friend. :D

He’s a week old!

How time flies, our boy has turned a week old already. Despite being sleepless and all, I just want to share some recent photos of him with all of you. So far, everything has been really well on our end. Thank you for all the greetings and congratulatory messages you sent our way. I hope you understand that I cannot reply to each one of you as my hands are really full right now. Aside from the newborn we have to take care of, we have a pre-schooler that we badly need to spend time with as much as we can. We don’t want her to feel insecure thats why. We have been doing good at that so far. Sophia loves her baby brother to bits and wouldn’t stop talking about him. We just hope it continues to be this way.

Anyway, here’s our week old Mateo.

That’s all the update I can afford now but I’ll be back with my birthing story soon. Meanwhile, before I turn my computer off, I need to do a friend a favor and search for a site about cerebral palsy first. I hope I’ll have luck finding one.

Until my next post, guys.
