The kids at Highlands.

We were in Tagaytay Highlands again with friends last weekend and I must say that among our trips there, this was the one we and Sophia enjoyed the most. We took some friends with us thats why and Sophia had a blast with her playmates!

Here are they in front of Highlands Steakhouse after our sumptuous lunch.

The kids had so much fun playing in the indoor playground and horseback riding while the daddies spent the day playing airsoft and table tennis. We, the mommies, were content on making chika at the club house eating Halo-Halo and Ice Cream.

We spent the night at Canyon Woods after. The contractor friend of Jon also showed us some model units he was selling and if only budget wasn’t an issue, we would have wanted to purchase one! The three bedroom property he showed was so nice! The units were meticulously made and the materials used were all of top quality and were given detailed attention like the use of Schlage Hardware. The units were even overlooking a pool! Nice, nice, nice…..

I hope we win the lottery soon! LOL.

Hurray for Student Loans!

I just received an email from my cousin who is based in California that she is finally graduating this coming May. Oh, how we are so proud of her! You see, since she lost her mom and dad from an accident some 3 years ago, she was all on her own with minor help from our relatives based in the US too. Student Loans as she told me was what got her through. If you are not familiar with such, these are loans that are offered to students which is used to pay off education-related expenses, such as college tuition, room and board at the university, or textbooks. Many of these loans are offered to students at a lower interest rate, such as the Perkins loan or Stafford loan. In general, students are not required to pay back these loans until the end of a grace period, which usually begins after they have completed their education.

My cousin was and is still is (until next year) enjoying the benefits of Private Student Loans actually which is why she never had problems getting cash for his college education. Her story reminds me of one character in my favorite TV Show Grey’s Anatomy, Izzie Stevens who was able to finish Medical School all because of Student Loans too. Now, isn’t these such great and inspiring stories? As what’s written in my cousin’s email, she could never be thankful for these loans as if not for them, she surely won’t have enough money to finish her schooling. She continues saying too that she’s very thankful for the friends she met in school as they served as her inspiration to strive harder and never give up as most of them are on several Student Loans too just to make ends meet. Good thing there is what they call Student Loan Consolidation available which will make it easy for them to substantially lower their monthly student loan payments.

I am sure these people has got a bright future ahead of them as nobody deserves it better.
