I love being a mom!

Thanks to Thea and Jody for this nice tag.

I love being a mom, period. Mommyhood made me see things differently. It made me fully understand what unconditional love meant. Motherhood had made me a better person in more ways than I can imagine.

Here’s a photo of me and Sophia when she was just 10 months old. How time flies! She’s starting preschool next week!

Question : What I love most about being a mom?

Answer : The little things …

- I love it when a cute little tiny creature keeps calling me “Mommy!” over and over.
- I love the feeling that someone needs me badly – all the time!
- I love the affection and kisses I get the whole time. I feel like I am the most important and most loved person in the whole world.
- I love discovering new places, things and what-nots with my little girl. Traveling with her is something I always look forward to as I love learning with her.
- I love watching her sleep and trying to do things on her own.
- I love shopping for the little one and dressing her up.
- I love taking photos of her and looking at her old photos (and relaize how time flies and how much she has grown!) which is why I have been meaning to get a digital frame.

The list could go on and on ….

How about you Yvette, Annette, Shiela, Abie and Kelly?

3rd pre-natal check-up.

I just came from my 3rd pre-natal check up and what can I say? The baby is in good shape! I had an ultrasound again and ang likot ni baby! Hay, this totally gives me some peace of mind as I have been very sick lately. No drastic change on my weight though, was only able to gain 1 kg. This is understandable as I was sick for almost two weeks. I promise to make bawi this month, we’ll see.

I’m on my 15th week now and I hope I’ll get better and better with the coming days so I can be all set for our HK trip.

Wii.

The little girl wants a Wii. She saw a kid playing at the mall and since then she wouldn’t stop talking about it. If you know my daughter, you won’t be able to resist as she is one persistent 3 year old. She manages to get things her way all the time with her charm and wits. I know this isn’t something we should be proud of though but I guess every parent would understand why as long as we can, and as much as possible, we try to give in to our kid’s desires as long as we can afford it. After all, that’s the reason why parents work their butts off right?

So right now, I am busy canvassing for one and so far, it is cheapest to get it in the US so I just might ask a friend to buy it for me overseas. I might as well get some accessories too and a couple of games. What Wii games do you recommend? I would want to get something for me and Jon aside from the games for the little girl. I heard playing the Wii is a good form of exercise too so I am all for that. My husband would definitely love it too. Let me know, I am one excited mommy.

Online Shopping.

Shopping is my therapy. It makes me feel good, makes me feel happy. Pathetic as it may sound but its true. I have yet to meet a woman who isn’t into shopping. I used to love going around malls to shop but right now I have discovered a new way to satisfy my urges at the comfort of my very own home – online shopping. All I need is a computer and an internet connection and I’m all set.

I am hooked to online shopping, these days, who isn’t? Not only is it very convenient for shoppers like me as I don’t have to leave the house to shop, I also have a lot more choices online over just going around the mall which I hate right now that I am pregnant as I easily get tired. Say at Shopwiki, I love their selection of Women’s Clothing. It’s a one stop shop as I can find anything and everything I am looking for. They even have style resources guide for clueless shoppers. Isn’t that great? I sometimes need that you know. :D Right now, I am so into dresses and of course, since I am pregnant, I am hoping to stumble on really nice Maternity clothes online too. And thanks to Shopwiki, I have got a lot of choices. It’s the money that I lack of, LOL.

So for your shopping sprees, head over at Shopwiki and I am sure you’ll find everything you are looking for in just a few clicks.

Replies coming soon.

I will reply to all your comments, I promise. I just need a little more time to get my groove really back so pardon me for not answering some queries.  I am a little overwhelmed here with you know what. :D

So many things to do so little time.

I am so bad at cramming!

Rejected.

Sophia’s Sleeping Beauty Bedroom Furniture Set arrived today as expected. Bad thing though, I had to reject the cabinet/dresser and the full body mirror as both have scratches. For the price I was paying for them, a minor scratch is not acceptable so I had them replaced. I still have to wait until next week for the new items though but I’d rather wait, no problem about that.

So far, Sophia is loving the bed, the cabinet with desk/study table and the chair. I am so happy with my choice. :)

School stuff and what-not.

Last Friday, Jon and I attended the Parent’s Orientation at Rosemont, a PAREF School. If you still don’t know by now (which I doubt!), our little girl will be attending the SY 2008-2009 as a Nursery student in this school.

The orientation lasted for roughly two hours with a buffet dinner to boot. Rules and regulations were discussed as well as the school’s mission and vision. They reiterated how the parent’s involvement is a must just like how they expect us to attend parenting programs they usually hold and be present with the recollections they are holding specifically for parents.

The highlight of the night for me was meeting Sophia’s lead teacher and warning her of my daughter’s hyper behavior. :D She will definitely have her hands full on my daughter alone. They are 15 in class by the way with one lead teacher, one assistant teacher and one teacher aide. Here are photos I took of her classroom.

Also, I learned after the orientation that Sophia needs to bring 1 backpack to school everyday with spare clothes (including underwear), a face towel, powder and a hairbrush or comb. I also need to get her a plastic placemat that needs to be left in school. Now, this is really getting more and more exciting!
