This is it!

I am now a certified preschooler mom!

While I was surfing the net for bathroom faucets to replace our old ones, the helper handed me this letter from Rosemont, my daughter’s school for SY 2008-2009. Oh was I excited! It was a letter welcoming our family to Rosemont School and inviting us to the Parent’s Orientation for us to have a better grasp of the PAREF philosophy. The letter also included Sophia’s schedule of activities for the whole year. I just have to make a correction though as she was included in the Nursery morning class when I opted (last minute) to make her join the afternoon class instead. Other than that, we are all set for the opening of classes this June 16. There’s really no backing out. Oh, I can’t wait!

8 Seconds.

Have you seen the movie 8 Seconds starring Luke Perry? Its one of my all time favorite movie for some reasons. The movie chronicles the life of Lane Frost, 1987 PRCA Bull Riding World Champion, his marriage, friendships and struggles. It was a very touching movie. I was 14 years old when it came out and it was probably the first movie that ever made me cry - hard. So I won’t forget it, very memorable movie for me.

To this day, I clearly remember the movie’s tagline as it is embedded in my heart, “The sport made him a Legend. His heart made him a Hero.” At a young age, because of the movie, believe it or not, I got interested with Bull Riding and how people love the sport no matter how dangerous it is. I saw how it ended one’s young and promising life like the one of Lane Frost. I am convinced however that the sport gives a different kind and level of adrenaline and excitement to its viewers making it such a hit to this day. As a matter of fact, each year, there is a Wrangler National Finals Rodeo a/k/a the NFR held at Las Vegas. Such event is flocked by thousands and I must say, I myself would love to watch so as I can experience watching the best men and women compete in a sport that knows no boundaries or limitations. If only someone would sponsor my WNFR Tickets together with a Las Vegas trip, I would be so delighted! Anyone?
