Hating the summer heat.

Is it just the pregnant me or what, it has been so HOT these past few days. I barely get out of the room and do something. Summer isn’t really my favorite season obviously unless I can afford to stay in luxury resorts all the time like at Branson resorts. Since I can’t, I could only wish for summer to be over. I’ve had enough. I’m sorry but I’m really am not fond of the heat. I feel like a pig sweating!

Let it rain!

Stroller talk.

While Jon was drooling at Hublot big bang watches over the net last night, I on the otherhand, was busy checking out the prams at Quinny.  Although I would love to get a Bugaboo for our upcoming baby, with the price tag of almost a thousand dollars for a stroller alone, I’ll pass. Instead, I’ll probably settle with this five hundred dollar Quinny Buzz which is still as good, I hope.

Shopping makes me so excited!

Myartistsplace

Do you ever dream of seeing your kids on TV? I do! Well then, there’s this production company that can help stage moms like us to get our kids on TV and more.

Myartistplace is a resource center for budding child actors, singers, dancers and comedians alike. By signing up, children and their parents get an opportunity to work with other professionals, to develop their contacts, and to audition for internal shows. Definitely a great way to build and practice skills while trying to penetrate the entertainment industry where knowing the right people and having the right connections would get you to the top as talent alone won’t do. That is one harsh reality. Myartistplace can be your child’s ticket to fame and success. Although the program is not for everybody, My Artist’s place can be a springboard onto the silver screen for the right individual. And who knows, that individual could be your precious one. So take the opportunity now so your dream of seeing your kids on screen can start to materialize. After all, there’s no harm in trying, right?

GonnaBe

Here’s a little confession. I am a frustrated singer. At age 7, my mom gifted me with a Karaoke set with matching Sharon Cuneta (her fave singer of all time) minus one cassette tapes. I knew her songs by heart - from Mr. DJ to Sana’y Wala ng Wakas. While kids my age were busy watching cartoons, I was busy with my Karaoke, singing my heart out. My favorite pastime was pretending to be a popular singer singing on television shows. That’s how I badly wanted to be a successful singer. For some reason though, I was never enrolled in any singing lessons of some sort. My mom probably thought that buying me a Karaoke was enough but obviously it wasn’t. I wonder now if she knew how I so loved singing way back or maybe she thought it was just something I do for fun. I was waiting for her to be that stage mom she could be and seeing how her daughter so loves singing, would do anything to hone her talent and even maybe try to let her daughter make it to the entertainment world. But I guess she was never the type or she was probably too busy putting food on the table to ever notice my potential if I even had any.

Now that I am a mom myself, and is far from being busy earning for the family as my husband is such a good provider, I have all the time to notice every potential my daughter has and would do anything I can to help her hone whatever talent she may have. If she ever wants to penetrate the entertainment industry, by all means, I am behind her. I’ll be the stage mom I wish my mom was and failed to be when I was a little girl. For petes sake, I would not even think twice of taking her to a membership based networking center and production company like what they have at Gonnabe.com. Oh yes, I would love to sign up for this production company as by doing so, children and their parents get an opportunity to work with other professionals, to develop their contacts, to audition shows, to gain exposure on major media markets, and to sign with talent agents and managers which is clearly a great way to build and practice skills.

At Gonnabe.com, every young child who has inkling for the arts will be given the much needed chance to make a name for him or herself and get better at their chosen field - acting, singing, dancing or modeling. The best part is, it will also help you penetrate the very closed entertainment industry where talent is not only the key to success but rather, knowing the right people too will definitely get you ahead.

My stuff, his stuff.

Unlike my husband, I am not into high end electronics. I don’t mind watching my favorite show in our old TV, not specifically the flat ones or the very expensive LCD TVs they sell nowadays. I don’t even own an ipod just so you know.  I’m a very low maintenance person when it comes to stuff like this, contrary to my husband who would spend every penny he has on good speakers and LCD TVs just to enjoy watching his favorite show which is Prison Break.  His car, well, is boasting with speakers too that will make your eardrums pop when he chooses to play songs his way.  Read LOUD.  I guess this just shows how people are really into different things.  My husband gets pleasure with owning the newest electronic stuff in town while I feel like I’m in heaven when I buy a new bag. Oh well, how we wish funds are overflowing so we could buy anything that pleases us.  But the reality is, money is hard to find!

Horton Hears a Who.

horton_hears_a_who.jpg

Sophia had her first movie house experience care of the kind and adorable elephant, Horton. She knew this story by heart as I read it to her every once in a while. She is a Dr. Seuss Book fan thats why. So we just have to let her watch the movie even if I had apprehensions at first.

So how’s the little girl inside the movie house? Oh, better than I expected. We were able to finish the movie. She was seating the whole time but was asking a LOT of questions. What’s new? HAHA. She kept comparing the movie with the story in her book which failed to mention the scientist/doctor character. Asus, bakit daw dun sa book niya wala yun!

Overall, I am one proud mommy. She was well behaved the whole time just licking her ice cream here and there. :D

By the way, the movie was basically about the imaginative elephant Horton hearing a cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust floating through the air. Suspecting there may be life on that speck and despite a surrounding community which thinks he has lost his mind, Horton is determined to help. It is an animated adaptation of Dr Seuss’ classic 1954 children’s book of the same name. Produced by Ice Age makers Blue Sky, scripted by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, and directed by Jimmy Hayward and Steve Martino, Horton Hears a Who reunites Bruce Almighty co-stars Jim Carrey and Steve Carell as the eponymous elephant and the Mayor of Who-ville respectively.

The movie is a good watch.  Two thumbs up!

Chika.

While I was waiting inside my OB’s clinic last week for my very 1st prenatal check up, I saw a very popular celebrity go inside the adjoining beauty clinic for some botox treatment. How did I know? I eavesdropped! Something I am very good at, LOL. I wonder if this is the sole reason for her un-aging beauty over the years unless she was getting Botox for migraines which is being offered now at The New York Headache Center. Nah, I don’t think so.  I have nothing against cosmetic remedies for aging, I just didn’t expect this certain celebrity to be into it.  I think you are dying to find out who, message me! HAHA.
