Guam Getaway.
We left for a quick Guam getaway last March 8 via Continental Airlines. 7:45pm flight was exactly on time and was a breeze too. We were in Guam in no time, three hours and thirty minutes after we took off at NAIA.
We reached our hotel – Outrigger Hotel in like eight minutes from the airport. As you all know, Guam is a very small island. Everything is within distance as the driver told us. Check-in was a breeze too. Keys were handed to us promptly as we arrived at 1am Guam time. We are two hours behind by the way which makes it 11pm Philippine time. We slept right after we checked-in obviously as it was late already. Early check-in cost us $85 each ha. Not cheap!
The next day after eating breakfast at The Palm Cafe in the hotel lobby, what else would we do but hit the beach and swim?! Too bad I didn’t have a waterproof camera with me. Boo. To top it off, nag moist pa my cam, syet! So here are the only pictures I got.
Just look how much sunblock I put on, di naman obvious na takot ako sa araw ano? 
We spent the whole morning swimming both in the beach that was right outside the hotel lobby and the swimming pool. To say that Sophia had so much fun and had the time of her life is an understatement. The little girl was in heaven! She loved the slide in the swimming pool and would go on it with her dad the whole time. As in paulit ulit even if lumulubog siya when they hit the water. I didn’t have pictures of us riding the boats and using other water facilities as yun nga I didn’t have a waterproof cam. Bwisit! I already saw one in the mall before we left but I didn’t get it. Hay hay hay.
Moving on, getting Sophia out of the water was a challenge. I had to tell her it was the shark’s turn to swim hahaha. Ayun sa wakas umahon. She was so tired and she fell asleep right after we had late lunch. When she woke up, since our hotel was connected to a mall – The Plaza, we just went around checking some stuff. Had dinner after and called it a day.
That night, Sophia was dreaming all about her fun swimming experience. She was doing all the tricks while sleeping! She was pinching her nose, trying to pedal with her legs, flapping her arms etc. Grabe! And the worst is, she was running a fever so I didn’t let her swim again the next day. Sayang our other swimsuits! Anyway, she was still her bubbly, active and happy self though all the time.
The next day, we took the little girl to Underwater World but since we’ve been to Sydney Aquarium, Guam’s Underwater World fared so low to us. It’s better than that of Sentosa in Singapore though. Nevertheless, anything water with fishes and sharks swimming is all good for the little girl.
We then headed to DFS Galeria after for some shopping. DFS was right infront of our hotel. You just have to cross the street and you’re there which makes our hotel the best hotel in terms of shopping location. It’s right smack in the middle of shopping and entertainment district.

The next day, we rented a car to be able to go around. We went to Guam Premier Outlet and Micronesia Mall. O diba, malls pa din hahaha.

Last day was spent shopping at DFS Galeria, again. But before that, since it was Sophia’s birthday that day, her auntie surprised her with a cake when we went down for breakfast to the little girl’s delight. We had to repeat the candle blowing twice too as per the birthday girl’s request.
By 5pm, we we’re off to the airport. Flight was on time again and surprisingly airport procedures at NAIA was a breeze. Buti naman!

sophia’s swimsuit i got from old navy’s sale. cute noh? cheap pa hahaha. re losing weight, naku i only eat twice a day hehe brunch and early dinner ng 6pm. this works for me pero ginagawa ko lang yan pag may lakad kami like this one for guam vacation hehehe. daya ano?
