Happy New Year!

I don’t have time to blog hop and wish everyone a Happy New Year so to all mommies, daddies, friends and acquaintances who read and take time to drop by my blogs, from our family to yours, Happy New Year! May we all have a bountiful 2008 :)

toyssssss

The little girl is taking a nap so I have an hour to blog. First off, let me post some pics of Sophia taken last Christmas Eve and the morning of the 25th where she was opening her gifts. To date, she still has two unopened gifts. I made her not open them as she has TONS of new toys to play with that she herself can’t get to decide which one to play with first. I’ll make her open them in a day or two when she has at least played with all her new toys already.

She had around 4 play-doh activity sets as gifts so the Craft Caddy I bought is still unopened. I’ll let her open it maybe tomorrow. It’ll definitely give me an hour break if she has a new toy to tinker with, don’t you think?

Today is day 2 of being yayaless. Five more days to go!

hello!

I have so much stories and pictures to share but I don’t have the time to post yet as I am yayaless as of the moment. Sophia’s yaya is on a one week vacation so my hands are full with the little girl. I hope to get to squeeze in a few pictures later tonight when the little girl sleeps ( I hope!). Right now, I need to have some shut eye as I am sleep deprived because of the Christmas Party Jon and I attended the other night. Oh goodness, it was one hell of a party!!!!

Thanks still for dropping by. Check for updates later :)

a day after christmas

How was your Christmas, everyone? Ours was great if you’re wondering. I whipped some great dishes, naks! Sophia was ecstatic with her toys. She has lots of angpaos too, haha. I’m here in Pampanga now in my mom’s house as I’m typing this so I can’t share some pictures yet. Not that I have a lot or great pictures to share though. LOL. But I did manage to get some pics of the little girl opening her gifts while in pajamas last Christmas Eve and a few shots with her Christmas attire yesterday.

Yesterday was a tiring day indeed but was a merry one. Everybody was just in a festive mood. Food was also overwhelming everywhere we went that I still feel full until today from everything I ate yesterday. Goodness, I might have gained five pounds at least in one day! Not to worry though as I’ll be yayaless in two days for a week so I am sure to burn everything and probably more while babysitting the little princess full time.

Anyway, we’ll be back home tomorrow so you’ll probably hear from me then. I just needed to squeeze in an opp or two while the little girl is taking a bath as I badly need to kill time while we’re here ;p

Barney Live in Manila

We left the house at 2pm yesterday for the 3pm Barney Show in Araneta Coliseum yesterday. We arrived just in time. Met with Jackie (with Marla), Mary (with Migs) and Lala (with Summer and Sage) at the front gate. We were seated second row from the stage but a bit on the left side which was fine with us. The minute we came in, Barney started singing. Talk about just in the nick of time hahaha. The kids were all ecstatic. Sophia was singing and dancing and we were all proud and happy mommies. Babaw noh?

Sophia enjoyed the show as much as she enjoyed the Sesame Street Show last time at Aliw Theater. I would say though that production wise, the Sesame Street Show was a notch higher. Hence, price wise, tickets were more expensive that time. The Barney show was still good though but parang di pinagkagastusan talaga. But I think kids don’t know that naman ;p Anyway, I love all the songs in the Barney show. I was singing along with Sophia all the time with matching actions pa. LOL.

Here are some pics. So pathetic, we didn’t get a pic of us while inside. Late kase and by break time we were all busy eating.

Pics at Timezone in Gateway after the show.

gift opening

I am so excited for the little girl later. Finally, it’s time to open her gifts. Everyday, she’d be asking me if it’s already Christmas and if she can open her gifts already. I would always tell her to wait for a couple more days and she’ll gladly oblige. Mataas ang EQ! LOL. She never cried or throwed tantrum at all. Some days, she’ll ask me if she can get her gifts under the Christmas Tree and bring to her room lang but not to open them. Hahaha.

on to the barney show

We’re hitting the road a little later for the Barney Show in Aranata Coliseum and after reading Jacqui’s post about the show, I am so curious to find out for myself why her little Sam didn’t really have “that twinkle” in her eyes while watching unlike the Sesame Street Show last time at Aliw Theater. Sophia enjoyed that show so much too like Sam. I wonder if Sophia will enjoy the Barney Show later as much as she did the Sesame Street show. We’ll find out, later :)
