no bookings still
And I thought acquiring the OZ visa was the hardest part …. wrong!
We’re still not booked as of this time. Sigh. First, we had a hard time looking for flights because almost all direct flights are full. When we finally found slots, accomodation to my choice hotels are no longer available, even my second and third choices, no openings. Sigh again.
Now I’m crossing my fingers for Oct.30 departure. According to my agent, flights are okay, Goldcoast hotel is confirmed while Sydney hotel is pending for request but is most probably okay too. Hay hay hay…. I hope!
So ….. looks like baby number #2 (*crossfingers*) won’t be made in Australia after all, LOL.

oh no :(. i’d say next time, book the hotel of your choice ahead of time. you can always cancel a day before with no charge if say, you’ve found a better deal through an agency or online site (but if you don’t, at least you’ll already have a booking for your preferred hotel!). and if you do find a better, cheaper deal elsewhere for the same hotel, ask the hotel directly if they’re willing to match the price — they’ll usually agree.. and throw in some other freebies. doesn’t hurt to ask — i always do, i have no shame hahaha.

i think, spring just sprung in australia. and that’s probably the reason why it’s hard to get the booking you prefer for both airlines and hotels.
